Which theory was your favorite? White Diamond corrupting Steven, Steven corrupting himself, or Jasper?
I feel like Corrupting Himself would likely make the most sense considering Steven's Mental state during Future.
I feel like Steven corrupting himself is the most likely scenario. Looking at how he's been acting lately and his emotional issues, to me it seems the most possible.

Yeeeeeeees! Especially with the way that could actually bring some of the lessons of the individual episodes home. Like, Lars and Sadie and everyone were able to calm Steven down by TELLING him that the changes dont mean they're leaving him behind or that they love him any less, but seeing them play a role in saving him, being part of the group saying "after all hes done for us like hell I'm not going to give all I've got for him!", it would actually prove to him that they meant that and, therefore, that changes to the way his loved ones live their lives dont need to scare him so much. And, considering the way he was acting the very next episode, he needs that certainty more than promises made in words alone. Theres quite a few of the lessons hes taught or been taught over the entire show that could benefit from that sort of finale tbh, and if it could all come together with the idea that, like, everyone knows now that being the problem solver and centre of so many issues for so long has taken its toll on him and he needs help, their help, to heal and to learn how to be his own person in the first place etc, it could be an absolutely phenomenal wrap up of the emotional arcs. 2 worlds worth of people were in a shitty situation and part of that shittiness was that the core of solving it rested on the shoulders of a child during the defining part of his maturing into who he will be for the rest of his life. That wasnt exactly avoidable, but now that things are significantly better theres a lot of people who care about him to start taking steps to get him to understand himself separate from that responsibility, you know?
God that would be perfect. The only way it could be done wrong is if they try to portray it as being completely fixed by the power of friendship in one swoop as opposed to rescuing Steven from himself being the ice breaker turning point that leads to positive changes if that makes sense

I like to think that Steven will corrupt himself because of how stressful he is slowly getting and his mental state.

The “Steven corrupting himself” theory is the coolest yet relatable of them all.
Because this would a beautiful metaphor about how bottling up your emotions for too long is unhealthy for your mental wellbeing.
You do it because you don’t want to hurt anyone, to be a burden to anyone, and then you start to lash out to them because you’re in pain. And once you calm down, you’re filled with shame and guilt, as if you’re thinking you’re turning into a monster inside out.
In the end, you isolate yourself from everyone to protect them, only to repeat the same mistake over, and over, and over again.

I expect steven to confront another version of himself inside his mind while the crystal gems and their friends fight his corrupted form in the real world.
Maybe Steven will meet a younger version of himself and then they could have a discussion about the past, the future etc.
Or maybe a younger version of himself plus one of rose quartz and one of pink diamond....so...in order to go on with the future he has to face the past first.
Also during the battle in the real world Amethyst turn into her wrestler form, grabs the horns of corrupted steven and says
"This is not my first rodeo"

That's also how I see it: It takes 4 diamonds to destroy all gems in abhuge blast, but 3 of them to corrupt those gems
No. The Diamonds thought they shattered every gem on Earth with their light attack. They weren't even aware of corruption until Steven showed them. IF it took all four Diamonds for a successful gem shattering attack, I'm pretty sure they would be aware of that and not even try it in the first place. The shield deflected the light attack, weakening it, causing the light attack to corrupt every gem instead of shattering them. The Diamonds didn't understand why their attack didn't work because it should have. They didn't know it was deflected by Rose's shield.

@@dickwallace8567 pink's motif very heavily relies around the physical gem itself, given how she heals them and can create fake ones at will, so it makes sense that she has to be present for the blast to actually shatter gems. the diamonds could have just as likely not known what would happen if the used their combo blast without pink, since they've likely never had to do that before anyways. the blast was obviously meant to affect the entire planet, not just directed specifically at rose, so obviously they thought it would shatter all the other gems it would've hit.

I think Steven corrupting himself would be the most likely option, since gems poof from extreme stress, but of course Steven cant, I believe instead of poofing, his body would corrupt from so much pressure.
We already know Steven is going down a rabbit hole of emotions, I think that he will at one point go too far down the rabbit hole. Eventually, his emotions will become so overwhelming, his composure will deteriorate, and he will transform into our favorite wormy boi.

Tbh I'm scared for the next few episodes because when I first saw the theory I was like "that can't be possible, can it?" But now it seems like it will actually happen now.

Spinel accepting that steven was going to poof her with the rejuvenator, she wanted to be someone else. She wanted to forget who she was now and before. Thats considered a suicidal act. Suicide dosent just revolve around your physical form but mental form too... For those moments spinel forgot her past and present she killed her self to be someone else, someone new.
Sarah Ricci they kinda did. Remember when Steven was going to jump off the roof when garnet told him about future sight? Or when he accepts death on multiple occasions like when he saw peridot balls outside the stream? He was all like cold and tired. At least I can rest before garnet saves him. Or how he keeps blaming himself or thinking the crystal gems only want him cuz of his powers. Like when he was telling the story to Connie about healing tears? Or when pearl ran off with rose sword cover and he all like did I do something wrong? Is it me? Or how he thinks that the gems kinda blame him for his mom not being there. Or how he thinks he only exists to clean up his mom messes? These thoughts don’t go away. They are still there and leaking out. He been having these mental issues.

I think his tears and the diamonds powers made him heal in the ocean
I think there's another possibility. Wormy is a hallucination, or a projection of sorts. What Steven wants right now is to help people and move on to his own future, but what's been holding him back is his powers. With Volleyball, he scared Pearl with his destructive outburst, with Little Graduation, his dome shield trapped them all. And his healing powers in Prickly Pear allowed Cactus Steven to come to life. So cutting his gem powers out of the picture must seem like an appealing option for him.
So what if he tries to unfuse with his Gem Self, the opposite of what he did in Change Your Mind? Maybe Wormy is the result of the two being apart for too long, Pink's destructive raw power left unchecked by Steven's humanity. Or alternately, it could be something that Rose's Room creates to show Steven what it would be like if he lost control completely?
Let's just imagine at the start of a up coming future episode, we see Steven just looking at himself in the mirror and he has horns, funny at first but then it will go really dark....

Actually, all four are needes to create gem-shattering song, but because pink was missing it only corrupted them.
Corruption is.
-damage to emotions(blue)
-damage to the mind(white) .
-damage to the body(yellow).
Corruption is MISSING:

I never got the impression that the corruption was a direct result of Rose's shield. I'm pretty sure that if she hadn't used her shield, the only difference would have been that her, Garnet and Pearl would be corrupted, instead of everyone being shattered.

Super random, but I’ve always been fond of Steven, for his favorite color is pink, and he has no problem fitting into feminine outfits, during the homeworld fiasco, he never complained ONCE about being in his mothers signature outfit, in fact, he seemed to flaunt it. It’s the little things that make me enjoy the show.

Since a recent audio leak Came Out I Think That Steven Will Become So Mad/Sad That He'll Destroy most of the house causing him to Not Forgive himself and then he'll Run Away. I think steven has been corrupted back when jasper swiped at him back when he and amethyst formed smokey quartz but when spinel rebooted his gem, it began to start spreading over time.

I have a theory similar to this, since steven was hit with spinels rejuvinator instead of having powers when he was a kid, he gained the powers of pink instead when she was getting used to her powers. Because of pink diamonds powers that relate to emotions he became more vulnerable mentally and soon he became corrupted with stress and ptsd
My take is that it’s not corruption it’s a manifestation of all Steven’s negative emotions especially his resentment towards his mom.
I feel like because more and more people are starting to believe this will happen

Corrupted Steven could perhaps be healed by the diamonds. Through song of course. This would also tie into the original corruption song/sound theory.

Since corruption is a “tearing of the fabric of one’s mind”, I think it is definitely possible for Steven to unintentionally break his own psyche by bottling up his emotions and end up corrupting himself.

I think he'll corrupt himself, like he accidentally did in CatFingers, or somehow accidentally fuse with the Cluster (probably not, but still something I think about).
My prediction is that something involving Connie will happen and that will be his emotional breaking point and he goes Full Pink. Maybe Connie is taking early college courses and has become friends with Kevin, who's managed to mature over the last 2 years. But like with Lars and Sadie, Steven missed out on Kevin's growth, so he freaks out.
