I think they dropped the ball on this one, I was hoping for 338 ammo and a hunting scope attachment. Just like DayZ most of the time to disappoint you.

It’s not, most other snipers take 3 shots to kill. Maybe you’re just used to modded servers, since most snipers do 40 damage or so per shot to a plate. The highest damaging guns too, like the DMR or Tundra take 3 shots.
@@IsoGameguy I’m with you on that, the DMR needs to be nerfed badly. There is bias with the devs but honestly it doesn’t make any realistic sense. The SVD has a longer barrel and larger cartridge, therefore an SVD should do more damage. Not to mention with 20rds and a 6x scope the DMR is way out in head for no good reason. It would be perfectly balanced if they swapped stats because at least the VSD would be limited to 10 rounds.
I mean i used it and what i have to say is that it's just a slightly better Mosin and slightly worse better because it has a 10 round magazine and faster reload but worst because the sites aren't that great
Honestly not a bad gun. Tho I wish it was more I’ve gotten a few kills and it does drop players even with a plate. But again wish it had better attachments and maybe a different caliber
My friend found an SVD on official at a convoy. Server was empty and it was on console. I was watching on sharescreen, whats up with that? I thought they only spawned in toxic zones? It was right outside Tisy, he said he found an SVD in a building there once too.
Dunno seems they keep changing. Previously you could find at heli crash / convoys. Now it’s gas, maybe they have changed it again? Will look into this.
If 3 of these guns can be on a map at a time does this mean that if 3 people are in possession of the gun but are logged off then none of them will be on the map? Is this how it works?
I had this gun, and I m16 and a Val and I got killed by a fresh spawn with a single shot gun. I was going through my backpack and he shot me through the window. 30 hour character

Its to easy to get a sniper at this moment. You spawn, you go to islamd south east, you find 5 blazes and at least one has a hunting scope, you leave the islan with a sniper with about 40 rounds, you get punched to death because "you" (atleast i am) bad at the game, repeat 🫠

need to add mods to keep the game alive on console. custom servers were a huge step but now we need mods

SVD and LAR are Tier 4 they can be found in Tri Kresta, Tisy MB, Heli Crashes, Military Convoys and Toxic zones.

the DMR (308win)does everything like the vs98 (762x54) or even better... and has a silencer and 20 rounds in the magazine
