Your stats are at the bottom of the screen in the main menu. When you play series in certain cities you gain attributes in the mini games and in games too. Look at the challenges for each city. Completing cities challenges allows you to steal a player from their team onto yours

I dunno if you’ve figured this out yet but aim your swing to where the worst defenders are so legendary catches aren’t made against you. Especially on homeruns. And you can aim your swing up to try and hit more hrs

You can use turbo when running to bases, chasing down fly balls, hitting, pitching, and throwing ppl out from the outfield or infield. You get more turbo if you throw inside of players wheelhouse and it shrinks their zone. Watch someone play this game a few times and you'll have a lot more fun being able to use all the abilities. Love the vids and hope this becomes a series

If you pitch in your opponents wheelhouse and get swings and misses you get turbos. If you get strikeouts you get turbos. Turbos can be used while hitting, pitching, base running and fielding. While hitting if you use the turbo while hitting your opponent cannot throw anything outside the zone.
This game was loved but you’re right it doesn’t get enough recognition

You can get to the star on the map. It’s Cooperstown and the games will be content gold for you. This game is awesome and gets better the more you play. This would be an awesome series
I played this game religiously when I was a kid. The way you increase your attributes is from those mini games. The star ratings are how proficient you are at the category. If you are 1 star bad to Legendary being the best possible. When the fielding attribute is legendary you can make legendary catches either diving jumping or home run robbing. Some players have special abilities like A-Rod has any homer hit is a not doubter, and some increase star ratings to other players on you team.
I don't watch baseball, I don't play mlb, but I like watching Kevin play baseball.

my favorite game growing up. If my memory serves me correctly turbo is the effect that makes the screen do those things light fixture zoom type effects. Use your turbo in pretty much any situation imaginable, base running, fielder run speed and arm strength, pitches , hitting, maybe even base runner speed.
For fielding X or A is to dive which will prompt you in the infield and the outfield by the green circle, when it’s green it’s catchable with a dive. Turbo should be used on double plays. When you get those legendary fielding moments it’s hard but so cool when you get them complete, it’s sort of the staple of the game. For instance this can be used to rob a home run over the green monster.
Batting other people have explained well, use the stick in the direction you want the ball to go, as a kid I always held it high and in. When you have a circle in your strike zone that blinks green, swing.
The game is tough to learn and is very much a reaction time thing but so worth it.
The best way to get turbo is while pitching. You get more turbo if you throw in the hitters wheelhouse.

While playing defense press X when you see the circle where the ball is landing turns green. The green means you can dive and catch it.
Also for turbo. You get more turbo if you pitch the ball In their wheelhouse and get a strike. That's why they are getting so much more turbo than you cause you avoid the wheelhouse

Are you using the stick to aim where you want to hit the ball? You have to aim the left stick to the direction you want to hit the ball. Since your guy isn’t a good hitter if you aim it straight down he’ll hit a single up the middle everytime as long as you make good contact. Power isn’t always the best unless the player has over 4 stars, just use the normal swing

Lean all of your hits. I swear it’s more reliable than just swinging normally. Power swing and lean for homeruns

not trying 2 backseat game but if it were me playing i'd have my guy last in the lineup and focus building 4 big heat mode on both sides and use it either when the ai does if they have it or hit a homer with my guy even if stats r different than the show, and when u get a hit that can go 4 more than a single the blue circle under the runner top right tells u who u r controlling on the bases and u have 2 tell them 2 run
I know you're loving the bigs but I think MLB PowerPros is just as good. It has my favorite career mode of all time

I just played my first matches of the show 24 online after coming from 23. What a horrible experience. I understand why you don't want to play that shit anymore. Watching you play other games is more entertaining anyway. More hockey vids possibly?
