Hi guys!! I wanted to give a little bit of a backstory on this song :)
I used to struggle with a lot of really dark thoughts if you kinda know what I mean and honestly sometimes they do come back a little from time to time but it's gotten a lot better. Coming from first gen immigrant parents we never really discussed mental health, I felt really alone especially because I've always had a hard time connecting with others. I think time is really relevant in the way that we are constantly evolving and changing as individuals and something I used to always brush aside was the saying of "It gets better with time" but now that I've experienced a little more of life I can honestly say it does even in a small way :D I wanted to write this song in case someone out there felt the same way I did or has ever struggled with needing someone to be there for you and having to be your own savior in the end. I might not be there physically but I hope you know I'm cheering you on in spirit and I'm so proud of how far you've come. I love you so much :)
p.s. this video was inspired by Clairo, using a macbook for footage was super cute for her video of pretty girl so i thought it would be fun to do something similar for my own song ^^

Discovered your music recently and as another kid of immigrants I totally understand what you mean by feeling alone. I think it’s especially alienating when we’re younger because we sort of belong in two worlds but don’t REALLY feel like we belong anywhere. Glad your thoughts are less nowadays as that’s been my experience too, it does get more manageable as time passes and hopefully your song helps people find the strength to keep going too.
