When I repot inside the house I lay out newspaper sheets on the floor so I can do a quick and easy clean up. I open to the center of a newspaper section so it's a few layers thick so when I'm done I can then lift it up and funnel the remaining dirt into a container. :)
I have lots of smaller plants grown from cuttings and purchases. Planting them around a larger one looks as good as yours. Nice to see the combinations here, look amazing. Grouping plants in one container save time and effort caring. My interior space is looking like a nursery of babies. I'm inspired to group in a pot NOW. Thanks for the inspiration
So glad you found a place for the Bonnie! Just the right spot. 🙂 I wish more people would do videos on companion planting. Which plants would be good 'roomies' with which plants. As far as soil....watering...light. I too am running out of space, so have been thinking of planting up like I do the outdoor containers. Maybe you could go in that direction now. You seem to be having fun. I know I will.🙂
I LUV mixing my plants in the same pot. All my plants follow the "buddy system" and they LUV it...😁😁😁😁 I LUV those vertical garden containers. 💝💖💘❣💞 I will CERTAINLY be on the lookout for them come Spring...🤗🤗🤗🤗
Those look AWESOME! I have only seen photos before and they have nothing to compare to your plantings! Thank you so much for showing your dirt tossing experience with potting those up for us. I kinda wanted to Wallygrow before, but not much. Now I really want to get these. Thank you x
I love your tip about adding a butt load of perlite to the soil. I’ve repotted a few plants and took your advice, and it’s made a huge difference with drainage. Overall my plants are way happier and I’m less concerned about water sitting around and rotting the roots.
I love your enthusiasm! They look so good! On one of her podcast, Jane Perrone and James Wong talked about how plants prefer to grow together in a container since that is how they are in nature in the ground. James Wong had some creative ways of having plants in his apt. It also creates humidity. I think those of us who have single plants in pots do something similar by grouping our pots. BTW, it is so nice to hear you still enjoy your plants even though you work with plants all day. So many people who work with something they like lose passion for it.
kid playing in dirt..... i could see roommate coming home and you turn around and freeze while he looks at you up and down with dirt, plants, maybe a little mud just all over and you just say "it wasnt me..... it was the cat! im just cleaning up" ......... 😂😂😂😂 you have the best job! i love playing in dirt 😂😂 hello from Québec.....loving your videos....very informative ..... my husband is constantly trying to control my plant addiction.....he is losing the battle😂
Hey ya, I'm a sort of silent subscriber but over the weekend I caught your article in the Chicago Tribune "Autumn's green appeal" in the HOME section along with Eliza Blank and Karin Scholte. I did a double take lol! I'm like wait... I know that Peperomia lover!!! It was cool to see you showcased with other plant lover youtubers. I saved the page and put it in my plant journal. Was excited to see you featured and how much house plant lovers are getting more and more recognized. Have a great week! :D
Nick, you had me dying laughing 🤣 getting soil everywhere and you seemed like you were rushing to plant everything up. But, I love it turned out great! ❤️
It was so great to meet you at your shop the other day! You were incredibly kind and I was stoked to be able to pick your brain. I love the plants I picked up...especially the variegated string of hearts; I've been hunting for them forever. Love the vertical garden!
I'm loving the way your vertical garden is looking, so many great pops of color and different types of plants that make the overall design work perfectly. What a great way to display plants when you are running out of space to either hang or put on a shelf. Unfortunately I don't have the wall space for a WallyGro vertical garden or I would be getting one. Thank you Nick for sharing such an amazing video I really enjoyed watching, I love repotting my plants but the cleanup is not my favorite part, if I can do it outside then I like it better, but sometimes that is not the case. Have a great week, see you soon.
I really liked it, I appreciated the realness. When I pot it’s MUCH messier! I usually try to do it outside if it’s not winter, otherwise there is definitely a trail of dirt 😱. I’ve been wondering about those wall things for a few years, I definitely like your second repotting better than the first attempt.
It looks so good in the end! I absolutely love it. Since this video is from 2019, I was wondering if you could do an update, especially now that you moved houses. Did you change the layout? Added or removed any plants?
Ohhh so cute I love it. I would love to do one with pinks and blues leaves and the N joy or The Mangula pothos cascading down or the variegated arrowhead OMG !!!There are so many colors to try. It definitely seems like fun.
I'm calling shennanigans on those curly spider plants. I bought a couple last year and now every new leaf is about a foot and a half long and dead straight. I think it's like those plants with chemically induced variegation then when you get it home all the new leaves come in plain green.
Great design and plant choice, but I would suggest using an Aroid planting mix with an addition of Orchid Bark and some organic fertiliser, and they will thrive better.
If you find your plants are not doing so well again it could be your soil mixture. It's a beautiful idea for water from the top pots but hard for water from the bottom pots. It's the soil that wicks the water up to the roots. Too much perlite could be making it hard for the soil to do its wicking thing. Running some cotton yard from the base of your pot (where water is) to the top (running close to the roots) could help if you don't want to change your soil mixtue
Nick I absolutely love this beautiful project with these containers. Will definitely be getting a few for my walls. This is my second video of watching you and I’m hooked . Plus it doesn’t hurt your from Philly lol . I’m in Jersey now and looking forward to following you on utube and of course Instagram. 💚💚💚💚💚
I'd be curious to see what it looks like after it has filled in. The wall planters look like plastic laundry baskets to me. Pots and planters to me are like the frame for a painting; it should set off and compliment the plant. At the very least it should look good on its own. But that's just my aesthetic point of view :) plenty of people love Ikea and I think most of their stuff is horrendously ugly haha
Thank you sue, cause we KNOW what it would have been without her... it would be all green. Luscious beautiful jade and jungle variety vibes... lol. We stan a bit of color. And personally curious how it will mature with some of the structured plants! Fun video. And personally using the discount.
Your pale coloured pathos needs higher light .. rule of thumb ..lighter cloured leaves always need more LIGHT ..the darker leaf plants ..can tolerate less light . Good luck !!
Hey Nick. You know it might look pretty cool to do a stair step pattern. Love the Wallygro planters, I’m waiting for them to be made in an eggplant color. I sent a letter to them asking if they were going to add that color soon. I love 💜 purple, I think a nice dark eggplant color would be cool. Love all the plants you picked, maybe next time add in a Black Pagoda Lipstick Plant, they look so cool from underneath, looks like a leopard 🐆 to me ☺️. Take care, Happy Planting 💜🌺🌸
*dumps soil out all over the place* "Oh wow, ok....." That's the story of my life right there lol.
Ditto!

Vertical garden update?!? Yass! Please! I'm excited to see how they are doing
LUSHHHH - I love it! 1000% better with the multi-planting arrangement. omg - this has inspired me to plan a green wall. Love!
Love the colour combinations and the mix of trailing and upright plants! That's such a beautiful display!
I don’t normally care for the multi-plant containers but
As usual, you pulled it off. Beautiful. Love your videos.
As a regular viewer, I feel shaded when you welcome only the new people.

Beautiful and it's not really a complicated system and looks great.

Looks really good Nick!
Nick, I so much enjoy your love of plants. I enjoyed watching you recreate your wall. Lovely choices of color and texture. Thank you!!
Nick is always like a little kid at Christmas with his plants! I just love it!
Nick, you had me dying laughing 🤣 getting soil everywhere and you seemed like you were rushing to plant everything up. But, I love it turned out great! ❤️

Thanks for the hook-up Nick! Every little bit I can save helps! Your vertical garden looks great!
Your personality really shined through in this video. Made me smile and even laugh out loud a few times. Made my evening. 💚

What a great idea! Now I'm inspired to do a potted garden of low light varieties myself. BTW, love those pots.
Thank you!!!!! I’ve been wanting wallygro planters for a year now!

Mine did that over winter, but started to curl and coil again with some direct sun the next year. Not all did, but most went curly again
I LOVE IT! IT LOOKS GREAT! GOOD JOB!
Awesome job Nick! Thx for the discount code. 💗
Wow Nick!! That is absolutely beautiful!!
Wow, it looks amazing!
Gorgeous! I have to get some of those planters. I love my pink syngonium to accompany my other plants.

It looks amazing! And I loved the longer video:)
Love this! Think having it full is a good choice, the reds and pinks look great

*yarn
Cotton rots; you'd be better off with acrylic yarn.
@@Korina42 I didn't know that, thanks!
Loved this, all four turned out beautiful!

Love your videos, Love your enthusiasm, love your flat! Xxx
I’m not nearly into plants as you are. I only watch because of your infectious enthusiasm and because you are so damn cute!
Awesome Nick! Love how it looks!! Only thing I wonder about is the water needs if each plant, like I thought Dracena's needed more water than Pothos?
Just a wow!
Loved the pink arrow head plant pot☝️👌👌👌
hi nick.... nice to see all your videos.... love it
Ohhh🌞🌞🌞you inspired me to update my wall garden!!! Will do it tomorrow ,need soil so will buy first💕💕!!!
Beautiful! I would love to know how they are doing now. I would like to try this.
Yay!!!Looks awesome:)
Your pale coloured pathos needs higher light .. rule of thumb ..lighter cloured leaves always need more LIGHT ..the darker leaf plants ..can tolerate less light . Good luck !!
This was so great! And you inspired me to replant my wallygro, so win-win. 😊😊😊
Awesome...love love it❤👍
