"Old?! We're not even out of our twenties." That line gets me everytime.
ofc imagine u were enlisted in '43 fresh out 18 years old and u got 2 more years of bloodbath battles the new guys should have seen them like legends
@@grimmshredsanguinus2915especially having been on Guadalcanal. That battle certified them.
"Old"......................we're not even out of our twenties
Sullivan and Roebuck sound like they are in their 30s. They sound way too old to not be out of their twenties.
I really like this game. But Sgt. Roebuck not wearing a helmet is absurd.
This landing scene somehow is better done than the D-Day in CoD:WW2.
Santiago Vásquez Gómez this had time and effort put into making it feel like you were pinned down from the moment you got off of the landing craft ( trying to move forward would be suicide without the artillery bombardments on machine gun nests) it also builds tension to the moment you land with things starting off calm but getting worse and worse the closer you get to the beach in cod ww2 there is no slow build up to the landing it's all a cutscene and there's no feeling of helplessness against an overwhelming amount of defences instead you spawn on the beach watch a forced cutscene on the beach run forward a little bit and then do a quick time event.
“A true war story is never moral. It does not instruct, nor encourage virtue, nor suggest models of proper human behavior, nor restrain men from doing the things men have always done. If a story seems moral, do not believe it.”
Fun fact: there actually were no banzai charges on Peleliu.
well nice fact but can you tell me what boat theyre riding on at the beginning
Those charges proved themselves to be useless, ending in complete bloodbaths.
@@spirz4557 yeah they are the very very very last resort like almost all of em die during that charged
I always loved in co-op on this you can see the other players,it's dope when you see sullivan say to the guy to the left "Hang in there kid"
@@ayylmaotv I know that but they are just supposed to be random characters?
@@lol-un6nl yeah that’s the point, the 3 real players just overtake those 3 random marines, their models are randomised and it’s the same with the rest of the campaign if you’re playing as dimitri your coop teammates will play as some of the random Russian ais
Best COD ever....
Why its the best cod: gameplay, nobody is flying all over the place, campaign, characters, soundtrack, zombies, weapons, gore, missions and easily the most outraging game in veteran mode
+Reckless Rhino gore is a minor thing, its better fitted on world war 2, than modern warfare games (not reffering to cod mw).
one thing i always loved about this game, besides the fact that the gameplay is awesome with all of the gore and shit like that, is the music. That sort of metal guitar type music towards the end of the video is one thing i absolutely loved about this game. The little things make this game the best Call of Duty in my opinion
My favourite bit is the mid and is why it’s my favourite mission in waw though I haven’t played the full campaign
2:34 you can hear the speakers on the battleship ordering a rocket strike.
I've always wondered what those sounds could've been, I thought of the Radio and such. Or It was all in my head. I never look behind on that mission.
It's a barrage cruiser
The speaker says: "I have permission to fire".
It's supposedly to alert all ground units in the beach that barrage missile strikes will strike at designated area
Guys at 2:34
Rocket barrage ship is actually the USS LCT-(R) T125 rocket salvo barrage ship firing the 4.5 beach barrage rockets and 75-4 rail mk rockets barrage and each ship has 36 rocket launchers
And of course the speaker says that: "I have permission to fire"
To alert ever ground units in the beach
Hope that clears it up
And thank you for the likes
@@majedalqadi4505 Thank you, I've been wondering for years what they said when they fired the rocket salvo
It's crazy to me, I've played the campaign so many times and I haven't even discovered the ray gun. I don't know how people ever think of finding stuff like that in a game.
to find it, you need to touch the bomb holes craters on the beach in a certain order while crouching
@@greatest_bumble_bee_dudethose are actual rockets right there, launched from naval gunships!
To get the ray gun on this level you will see 4 holes on the beach you must stand in every holes after you do that stand in the last hole and wait for the dust to come out and the status will come out from the ground and you get a free ray gun
if waw little resistance was real. Sullivan: Flamethrowers, Burn 'Em.
Miller: Flamethrower my ass, Tojo gave me a Ray Gun.
Pew,Pew,Pew.
Sullivan: we all praise lord Miller!
Pássaro Azul Roebuck: I have Thompson threw out the entire campaign except for hard landing.
Polonsky:but I have an M1 garand arguably the worst gun in the campaign sooo get rekt Roesuck xD
Roebuck: Don't call me that or i'll shoot you down, Zolonsky! XD
@@noahkonigers1616exactly and I don’t get why that was. Marine ncos carried nco weapons unless they carried standard rifles like ordinary marines, they carried their leadership weapons.
The music its just amazing 0:54
Everything in this game is amazing. But the only problems are there's only 3 score streaks on multiplayer and campaign is so hard on veteran cause you keep getting 50 grenades thrown at you.
Teacher: were going to Japan
Girls: omg I can’t wait to see anime and eat sushi!
Boys:
Kinda pisses me off how a lot of people don't know that you can get the all known ray gun in this mission...annoying when people claim it's "hacking" when it's simply a secret easter egg. What's even more annoying are the kiddies here who have no idea what a ray gun is 😑
A hundred percent true! I haven't played this game in almost 5 to 8 years and this is the first time I ever heard of there being a ray gun easter egg!
@@sausage6136 not if it's through round 50 or 60 it's bad and it can give u slash damage
I've been playing this COD's campaign for ages (before I had Xbox live and to this day, where I do have Xbox live) and never got bored of it! It's an incredible campaign!
"Driver, drop the ramp! That gun could zero in on us at any time!"
"It's the coral! We're stuck on the-"
"DROP THE RAMP!!!"
BOOM
At 2:34
It's a barrage cruiser

It's supposedly to alert all ground units in the beach that barrage missile strikes will strike at designated area
Barrage salvo H-E, Waco eight-one, Azimuth 35, Range 28... on the way!
It's kinda funny for me because this is the WW2 landing scene I grew up with instead of the infamous Omaha, so I always remember this one more vividly.
For anyone who can't use the radio in this mission, here is what you do. 1st: Find the button that makes the radio WORK 2nd: Using the ring/dot (depending on the platform that you are playing on) aim it at a REALISTIC place for the gunners to aim their fire.
When he jumped in that first hole I knew he was going for the Ray Gun.
3:38 LOL what the heck!? 7 years after I played this game and I absolutely have NO idea there was an easter egg right there hahaha!!! =))))
That beach landing reminds me of Medal of Honor: Frontline.
God, I loved that game when I was kid. Back when I thought enemies that recrewed HMGs and threw back grenades were the most advanced AI ever 😂

U made one of the best CODs campaign look so easy! Brilliant gameplay!
2:02 I love how Roebuck look at that VISIBLY dead dude like "u good?"
3:43 WTF...
David Schulz lol it's the ray gun Easter Egg. You can activate it if you stand in the craters like he did
@X Ronixx X I don't think it does, considering how specific and out of the way it is. If someone activates it, they most likely had to trymto
Rest in peace Sullivan.
Hahaha the way Roebuck and Miller just stare at the crippled soldier at 9:27-9:32
Its an Easter egg lol
imagine this level remastered
3:43 “You have one wish… Pick the weapons…”
I'm a huge fan of CoD WW2 I like how the story played out, now CoD World at War was an amazing game itself cuz of the historical footage and the level play was great plus I liked how they focused the campaign on Pacific n eastern front. If they make another CoD they should only focus on the Pacific this Time!! I think it would be great for the franchise!
Jonathan Lopez yep it could be cool but Treyarch could ruin it
I agree. We could definitely use some more Pacific content. Perhaps have a Chinese campaign where you try to defend from the Japanese.
Oh boy, i hope you didnt saw the new cod, you will be veeeery dissapointed
@@AnakinSkywakkaor one focused solely on 1st marine division this time from Guadalcanal to Okinawa. Just like Big Red One where they focused solely on the 1st infantry division.
@roderickstockdale1678 That'd be sick too, man. As long as it ain't a CoD game because we've seen how Vanguard did.
It’s been years since I’ve played this game and I had no idea you could even get the ray gun
I did know you can have the raygun but i didn't knew how, thanks

The last known orders of a Japanese general belonging to the shogun,Repeating over and over again from beyond the grave.
The japanese voice said "...なら一歩たりとも敵を本土に近付けるでならず。米軍は勢力を拡大しつつあるだろう、我が軍は徹底してこれを阻止する。振り返す、指令部を死守せよ!これ以上敵軍を..."
English translation: ...So even for a one step we have to try our best to hold the enemies back. The U.S. army are likely to expand their sphere of influence, our army must stop this completely. Repeat, defend the command center! Don't let the enemy forces...(Radio stops)
This is one of the best games I have ever experienced
Roebuck is one of the most underrated characters in call of duty you never here his name being brought up with some of the other iconic characters he’s easily top 10 for me
I wish we could have American team in Black Ops. They are completely forgotten.
@@princesssunlightstrike6388 I think it's better considering what happened to Reznov and Dimitri. Maybe Miller and Roebuck/Polonsky had some peace after WaW
Real ones remember getting the ray gun on this level
I still love this game
I knew Koopman was fucked the second I saw his name was just US Marine in the subtitles.
Old times.. i used to have this.
i was watching this video in the basement with lights off and when theray gun part came it really creeped me out i couldnt move for few secs
Cod ww2 d day mission and cod waw little resistance mission are very similar
I can only imagine how this would look if they did a remastered version with the graphics we got today
Dat final shot doe
Note the absence of M1 Carbines in this level, It's actually accurate because the Marine Corps during WWII mostly carried the M1 Garand rifle which was more effective against Japanese soldiers in the Pacific alongside Thompsons and shotguns like the Winchester M1897 used in WWI.
@@AKX-DTGRSMP Marines didn't have Grease Guns in WWII, Those went to the Army
I did what he did found the ray gun and blew up tanks with 2 shots!
My most favourite CoD.
Nice to see that there are subs :)
history lesson for today kiddies...pelileu, part of the palau islands, was the marines version of the normandy landings, up until this time, landing forces didnt encounter ANY enemy resistance on the beach, pelileu was different. Admiral nimitz wanted to bypass the palaus, admiral " bull" halsey changed his mind, many landing craft got stuck on the coral reef and were prime targets for japanese arty....The japanese were getting their asses whipped at every place and then said enough was enough, what was supposed to take 3 days took over 3 weeks, it was a meat grinder
In addition to the 1st Marine Division the Army's 81st Infantry Division also stormed the same area and later relieved the unit after taking heavy losses since Japanese troops were held up in caves and in the mountains most notably Bloody Nose Ridge
@roderickstockdale1678 There was also a video of ex veterans both USMC and Japanese meeting each other on Peleliu years after the battle ended
I love this game
THis game is bring back my memories at all 😢😢😢
Can anyone make out what he is saying when he's done talking on the missile strike radio?
I always wanted to know. I really love that voice though. Not understanding it is part of the reason.
If you're talking about the guy on the boat it's something about commencing fire
"Barrage salvo-HE Waco eight. Azimuth 35 range 28, on the way" that's what he says
This entire mission is a reference to the novel "Of the Old Breed" by E.B Sledge that details the battle of Peleliu and Okinawa. Fun fact, Peleliu turned out to be of no tactical significance whatsoever
The last COD game I fully enjoyed, then again, I never gave MW1 or MW2 a chance.
Both good games
Though, to directly be honest : I enjoy playing the original call Of duty modern warfare even more
that nice chef that is raygun zombies easter eeg
thanks for the raygun trick xxx
miller: is one of the older guys
also miller: still a private
Which was a mistake I believe cause from the Makin raid, he should have been a PFC. He led the damn scout team on there, and as a raider principally he should’ve been PFC from the beginning. You had to have rank to be a raider.
I always get yeeted by those Type 99, one peek and your screen goes red
when the raygun easteregg came, i was like TF?! a frickin' raygun and some goshtly Talking?!?!
1:54 to 2:03 That Part of the Mission Made me chuckle a bit. its so much Commotion and Begging.
i love this CLIP !!

I like this gane so much
The whole time growing up I never knew you could summon the ray gun 💀😭😭😭😭 I wondering what you were doing then I thought Easter egg.
3:22 what is that sound?!?!?! i've been looking for it in the game files forever but i can't find it
I always hear that sounds in Zombies when you die and before the Game Over song of the map plays but the moment i play this Campaign i said hey the zombies mode used a lot of sounds ambients of the campaign of World At War
PD: In Moon DLC black ops 1 zombies you can hear totally the sound
Wow nice shot i think you guys right alien weapons but cool!
I can't make out what is being said over the loudspeaker from the side of the ships after the words of the operator? Something with the word " fire". Artillery, fire?
This reminds me of the film windtalkers
You are real good!
I wonder what the loud echoing voice is saying at 2:35
furstenfeldbruck It must be something in Japanese as it is a Japanese mission! But tbh, I've wondered the same thing😂
Intercoms from the USN on the ships behind them, they were targeting Japanese fortifications and calling out coordinates while aiming the 16 inch salvo guns
I know the raygun thing since I was 8
Nice
There are still people that don't know about the Ray Gun easter egg? Man, I'm suprised...
rip sullivan :(
thank you
Thank youuuuu!!!
2:27 Hey guy I do this mission but I cant use radio how can I use it and call rockets ??? (Please reply this I really need this)
If you're on console, I believe it's by pressing right on the D-pad, then using your right trigger to confirm the location once the marker is that gold color
RIP Sulivan
12:13 that was personal
I wanted to watch one video where no one used the ray gun
6:09
What a shot my guy
The soundtrack!!!
This game will always be better than Cod WW2
Who else is waiting for a remaster for this?
if they remastered this game they would sugarcoat it or else they would get sued bc cod waw has footage of actual genocide and swastikas
How to use radio
Fun Fact: Those ships you hear with the loudspeakers saying "I have permission to fire" was an actual thing during WW2 to let the sailors on the ship decks know that the heavy guns will soon fire and to clear the decks.
Ong to this day I had no idea what they were speakenig on them speakers
Thanks for that man that was cool and didn’t know that.
