by the way numbers dont go up sometimes and when it does sometimes it wont jump (yes ik it beta but im just telling you)
@@rayden76 the number goes up based on when everyone in a single server pressing the jump button if you join a private server (with are free thanks chase) that problem is nolonger a issue
I feel it would be cool in a certain beginning of an area to give the player a propeller hat and introduce a double jump mechanic, sort of like a power up

What if the jump mechanic interacted with water? (Ex: dashing forward instead of pressing w) I think it could be interesting, and since everyone hates water levels, it fits a rage game.

You should add a shooting line, it's hard to say what it is but it's kinda like in basketball games where when your charging it, it shows this curved line to tell you where your going to land.

I have some ideas!
Timers : In certain level you can't progress anymore because of a wall, to disable this wall you need to activate the timer. When the timer start you need to reach a button which disable the timer. If the timer ends and you still didn't stop it, you OOF.
Hidden Rooms : secrets Ig you just find some hiddens rooms that gives you badge and other things like that.
Water : Basically in water you have a bar of breathing (if it goes to 0 you OOF) and how it will work is that using the bar you won't jump under water but actually dash towards your mouse pointer or where you are facing (your choice). Also when you are underwater you slowly falls so like that instead of staying in the same place and trying to get the great position to dash you actually need to go fast or else well you can't really go where you want.
Bonus level : Basically in certain places you can teleport to a bonus level, when you finish it you get a prize (A badge or some cash for some NPCs).
NPCs : (Ik that NPCs are getting work on its just some ideas) So you can use money (Get them by doing bonus levels, finding hidden rooms, collecting keys and more.) to get some items that could help. Sometimes you could make a shop next to a level and in this shop there is something special you can buy that will make the next level possible (So this will force you to collect coins around the map or else you are blocked in future levels where special items are available) And also shops can be found in checkpoints.
Nightmares : Certain beds (Checkpoints) have a sign close to it saying ''A nightmare may happen if you proceed to sleep in this bed.'' Or something like that and basically there is a chance that if you use the checkpoints you get send in a level that you NEED to finish to proceed (You can't even leave it so it makes the game harder and doesn't let players leave it and go use again the bed until they finally use the actual checkpoints) which is why there is a warning. READ
Moving obstacles : moving obstacles.

Mechanic idea, sticky walls, jump onto them and you can’t move until off of them, you don’t fall when on these walls though, I think wall jumping could be cool
Add a ability to double jump when you make it like 3 checkpoints in, or maybe push blocks, wrap arounds (with double jump), and even falling blocks that you might need to do a timing for.
I noticed there’s a lot of instances in the game where you could just jump farther and take a shortcut I feel like that makes the game seem a little less yk impossible since you don’t need to do all the obstacles
I also think it helps make the player want to play the game more, since they'll find a shortcut to get past things and will continue to replay it to find all of the fastest routes

Okay so, id suggest you to add more traps, and try to fix some of the shortcuts because you can skip most of the obstacles in one big jump.
Add biomes as you go up like steep steps or particles you can get from doing stuff idk something extra you might wanna do while going up
yo roony I got an idea for a mechanic, you jump onto a wall and you stay on it if it is like a sticky wall and you can do stuff like wall hopping, basically jumping from one side to the other to scale tall stuff. Also make a thingy which tells you where you will land
um i have an idea, when you jump i see that the player makes a siting animation. you could exploit that mecanic making a wall with a hole and you need to go through the wall while siting because the hole is small and you only can pass throough while doing that animation. hope it helps!
The game looks good so far, and I think it has potential, good luck on making it available on mobile!

i thought of a mechanic where you can place a small block down which can help with doing slightly too big jumps
also if you're skilled enough you can use it for a mini hop while in the air

hey bro i think there should bea cooldown between jumps (rage inducing) so you can better think about ur jumps!!
this game inspired me to make a rage game, it's like this but you have a jump cooldown, i haven't updated it in probably a year bc i don't like the aspect of it so i'm gonna update the game so it has some easy sections
tbh making like small,thin things you have to jump off/on would be so cool or like ice or kill blocks

could you add the bonk mechanic from the original jump king? that is gonna make it more harder, i know it
What about wall sliding (like in super meat boy) where some walls would let you slide down slowly and you could use that to jump to basically wall jump to a higher platform.

Idk if you might see this small suggestion but what about a 0 gravity like affect in certain stages?

I would add a hard double jump, where you have to click at just the right time to get it
just add a large cube on the baseplate and say the top is the finish.
turn off player collision and make the cube impossible to be jumped on
Add a point system where you spawn in with X points and things like setting your respawn point will -1 point off your score.
And then you have a leaderboard that says how many points do people have when they beat the game
I have 2 ideas:
1. Killbircks
It is like something that you touch you die and gotta do the stage again. Like in steep steps 700 meters - 800 meters
2. Head hitters
It is like when you jump forwatds then go back and it already exists in roblox obbies but I don't how you will add but hopefully you find a way
You should play recoil bounce its steep steps but with a trampoline
yo i would say add like a type of stairs were its high and long but then i drops down withen a 10s so ppl have to make it fast
idea: Blackholes .push you to the middle of the part if you are in a certain range so you have to use alot of jump power to get out of it.
There’s also cart ride delivery service which is sorta like steeps steps just a lot easier
the game is so cool! I play steep step and this game gives me vibes! (also i played with u, and i dont know how i got 1 money)
Hey so i noticed that the music restarts when you die. I have a fix.
I would recommend loading the music into its own dedicated screengui. This way, you can disable the "ResetOnSpawn" property. This makes the screengui and any of its children not reset every time the player respawns. you could have a script like this:

what does all this mean
It's simplier to put the music in sound servive, loop it and turn on playing but randomized music is kinda cool tho

@@truestbluu only problem with that is that the song will play for everyone at the same time, so if someone joins the game and everyone hears the same thing, the song would start in the middle. thats why i was saying each player can have their own separate sound.

I personally really think steep steps is harder on my laptop and one of my friends is good with ladders but haven’t made it to 100m yet though I usually spawn at 500m because I’m really progressed in the game

Here’s something I thought would be cool in the middle of jumps there will be moving stuff the higher you go the bigger tho objects get
you need to turn off player collision because when someone barely touch you and you jump you get flung but the game is pretty fun
you need Gravity Blocks, Switches, tripwires, and trampolines. the trampolines bounce you 3/4 the power you jumped originally.
Idea: add a platform that when you land on it, it will slowly break/disappear the longer you stand on it so you need to move fast.
can you do a thing where the comunity makes some levels and you add them
add an room with 6 buttons (3 on right on 3 on the left) and the floor is lava and there are small islands that you have to jump to so you could click the buttons after you click them all the door will open leading to the next level

Add a shop like steep steps has and maybe instead of colored and designed ladders it could be boots
Some ideas I have:
1. Spikes. If you are on a platform that has spikes it has a timer. If the timer gets to 0 you will be damaged or killed depends on the spike. Spikes might give damage, a effect like nausea or a change to the player's fov.
2. Hidden rooms with maybe some cool reward like a boost or something. One time uses that give you an good effect. Some ideas of good effects are more hp, faster regen, and free checkpoint that you can teleport to, infinite hp for a limited time.
3. Npcs. Npcs can give you certain infromation to help the player on their journey or Npcs might guide the player to a secret room or give the player quest and if they complete the quest they get an item or soemthing.
4. Shops. At certain checkpoints there are shops that the player can buy stuff from. You can buy stuff with a currency that you can get in their journey. That currency can be coins you can find or get from Npcs after finishing their quests. Every developer needs some cash to pay the bills so a Robux shop will defiantly help. A robux shop has very over powered items that the player can use.
5. GOD. GOD talks to the player. He might congratulate the player after getting a certain checkpoint or just ask the player random stuff at random times. He shows himself after the player finishes the game.

1 IDEA: do some plataforms that take some of ur healt so you have to be fast
idea: add bricks that will fall if you stay too long on it and the time for it to fall is 2 second make it so the brick is a little broken so players will know
Add a thing where you have to get back to the beggining but stuff will be in the way
Add spikes which go out and in at random times so u have to time it
add like hole in the wall obstacles that would be devious enough for some one to have a vein explode or smthng
I feel like I would probably play it, it seems like my type of game and I always love a good challenge!

1: make it so that you can't walk maybe permanent shift lock to choose where your character jumps
2:bouncy parts which bounce you with half of the power of your jump upon landing

it would be harder if there was something called ,archer. they make the game way harder cuz they shot stuff at you and does alot of damage
The more higher are you in the game the faster the timing mechanic of your jumping increases
You should add trampolines that bounce you like every 5 seconds
