I think Mrs Fleming is a very powerful soprano, with a deep lyricism and an extremely moving dramatic tone. Mrs Netrebko has a Just powerful voice, out of control sometimes
Nice video with some great clips however, a better comparison would’ve been made if clips were of singers at the same age/stage of their.l career. My personal preference is Fleming in terms of how beautiful the voice is vs what I find to be an falsely darkened and muddy sound of Netrebko in some of these clips. Always IMHO

Listen to the Met’s DVD of Eugene Onegin’s the letter scene, it’s pretty obvious who is better. Even Netrebko publicly acknowledged she loved Fleming’s Tatiana.
Fleming is clearly superior vocally in that last phrase from Tosca, whereas Netrebko needs that extra breath, but I wouldn't say one was a better Tosca than the other without hearing the whole performance. Ditto the other comparisons.
It's pointless to choose. In my opinion, Renée has a beautiful voice and is really smart in terms of technics, Anna has a powerful voice which is sometimes overpushed nowadays, I liked her 'till 2008, until she sang lyrical arias. I prefer Renee's style, but they are both really good.
Anna sings in an effortless manner while Renee's singing is more belabored. Renee has such a beautiful voice. They're the most beautiful women in Operatic history. Overall, Anna was tthe queen since J Sutherland's reign, until just a few years ago. Good to have two voices to enrich our lives.

I am so lucky to get to hear Renee this coming year the day before my birthday. I can not wait. I do love Anna as well but there is an effortlessness to Renee's voice and tone. I think Anna is best when she is paired with Elina Garanca, the two of them singing Offenbach - Barcarolle is what really got me into opera in the first place. It's a wonderful lullaby.
You should do a comparison of these singers singing the arias at the same age - age really matters when it comes to vocal quality.

Renee is better because she works a lot harder and is consistently excellent. The two also only partially share repertoire.
