Honestly, guys... we need sesame street to be bigger than they are culturally! We've forgotten how to be kind. My little 1 is autistic and sesame street had taught her so much! She loves sesame street! We watch it everyday and even I who didn't grow up watching them I've been able to see how important their work is. I know that trauma dumping can be difficult for a lot of people, but I’m honestly kind of glad to see that a bunch of people who were struggling felt safe to share. I think BECAUSE it was in response to Elmo, they were less worried about being attacked by others and I think we all need some space to share how we’re really feeling. But yeah - this whole thing makes me smile.

This was so sweet. I grew up with the 70s/80s version of Sesame Street and it makes me happy that they are still around making kids laugh and teaching them. I know I def. benefited from them as a child. Thank you CNN for highlighting this.
