    Love your videos about your set up and all your equipment. Helps us "old" actors 👵who are not technically savvy and have been spoiled by studios. Thank you for these! Love your energy! 💖

    Hey Roxy, HOW are you able to get the backdrop into the suitcase?

    • @theroxyrivera
      @theroxyrivera  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Great question! The specific suit case I use is pretty big, so I fold it tight and then squeeze the sides to make it an egg. Then I basically shove it in there. There is another link up there for a smaller backdrop that also works great!

    I look forward to seeing your videos. I've watched this video several times. This is amazing even if not traveling, being in a home with multiple family members, including a busy bee granddaughter, plus began running our own business, I need something I can put most away & pop out quickly. Question, what truly takes most of my time is steaming my thick blue/green cloth back drop. How long does it take to steam these?

    • @theroxyrivera
      @theroxyrivera  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      awww thanks Rose!!! For your question: 15 minutes for the small pop up and 30 for the big one :) in this video I had the big one and it surprised me how long it took!! but totally worth it. Also depends on how good is the steamer so maybe if your steamer is more effective it can be less time :)

    This set up is killer!! What do you use at home??

    • @theroxyrivera
      @theroxyrivera  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      that is definitely a video that needs to come up son haha! I use some of these same things I travel with but I have 2 big box lights I love and a darker gray yoga pant material pinned to the wall instead of a pop up :)

    Hi Miss Rivera, that microphone looks like a "table" microphone as opposed to a lapel mic. Do you ever use a Lavalier or other lapel mic on your person, and if so, what kind?

    • @theroxyrivera
      @theroxyrivera  ปีที่แล้ว

      I tend to avoid lapel mics so there’s no noise if I touch my clothes :)

    That isn’t a travel kit that’s practically an entire studio 😂

      literally xD like FACTS. It's a LOT. I know. But I just refuse to have anything that doesn't look awesome lol but you're right! it's a ton

    this looks like a LOT of equipment to me. the final setup at the end of the video is basically what i use at my home studio...operative word being "home". none of this looks ideal for "travel". every product listed is huge and takes up a lot of luggage space. i like this video for how to setup a permanent (non-moving) home studio. for a light compact travel kit i feel like the Movo iVlog1 travel kit is more compact and less extraneous. 3 lights is overkill for a travel, who wants to pack that?? you can get the same effect from 1 panel light.

      Hi bestie! Bro-- I agree with you. It's a lot. Please dont feel pressured that this is what I expect everyone to have. This is me showing what I do, nothing more. Because I do know that it's inconvenient. But it's what I use and how I book frequently enough to make a living from commercials. Thank you for the Movo iVlog1 travel kit suggestion-- I will check it out!

    All due respect, really appreciate the fun video, but this is not a "travel" kit suitable for hotel rooms. This is a proper studio kit. A travel kit should be something small that fits in your bag or luggage together with your clothing and other things. If you need an additional large piece of luggage to carry your studio in, it's not a travel kit. Also, that is a massive suite youre in that can fit all of the stuff inside. Mostly, standard hotel rooms would never be large enough. Whichever way, you have an amazing setup@

      I 1000000% agree with you bestie. I travel a lot and it's always annoying to carry around all of this. But i kinda just force myself to go through with it. This video is totally not made to tell anyone that this is what they HAVE to have. It IS a lot, I know that. But because I've put myself through it and decided it's worth it for me, I wanted to lift the curtain and share with my besties what I do (as inconvenient as it is, because hell yes it's inconvenient). So I am 100% in agreement with you, thank you for commenting because I want to make this clear for all my friends: this is me just SHOWING you what I do, not TELLING you what I do. This is a lot haha
