Whenever I am sick, or in pain, I ask Father to make His strength perfect in my weakness (that is a prayer of faith that I know is answered before it is asked), and I ask Him to heal me (just in case He wants to...I know that doing it in answer to prayer tastes better to Him than just "doing it" for us without prayer). I never spend a lot of time on it because I honestly do not prefer to be healed. My body would, of course. LOL But I, the me that is me, wants the reward that comes from obedience in hard situations.

Actually, Father did not say "no" to Paul's request. He did not say yes, no, or wait. He said, "My grace is sufficient for you. My strength is made perfect in weakness." He heard the petition, gave Paul new information, and let Paul ruminate on it until he understood.
EM Bounds is my maternal ancestor. I write poetry and children’s stories. I’m very pleased to be in his genealogical line.
