@@Gpinoy2.1 I usually fishin in Northern Alberta up about Edmonton. I have not spent much time down around Calgary fishing. I know lots of people ice fish Spray Lakes.
@@TheFishingDoctorsAdventures trout mostly because I hear it’s common. Just wanted to catch something but I think we’re in too shallow water. Deepest we’ve gotten is 75ft. Thinking we gotta go deeper. Try again next weekend
Wil Martin they get way bigger. Average size in this lake has dropped due to fishing pressure but we used to get 10 to 20 pounders. Rumors say there are 30+ pound fish in the lake.
@@backwoodsadventures9661 It never froze The whole winter???? I've never heard that. It's froze every year since I've been fishing it about the last 10 years or so. I'd find it very hard to believe that there have been winters where it never froze.
last time i went, I got skunked tough to catch walleye at cold lake. but the last walleye i caught form cold lake was in deep water but suspended. very odd...
Yeah that's how I hear a lot of them live. Just like in the great lakes. Feeding on the cisco. I have never figured em out there. Except for early spring there are some in the back bays that warm up first.
Those were the days Brandon ,catching a whole bunch of lakers on the hump. Need to show us some 2018 footage. You need your own fishing cannel Keep up the good work .
This is 2018 footage. We were fishing January 2018 on Cold Lake in this video here. Thanks. This is my fishing channel, haha. For now this is enough for me. I'd like to improve the videos a bit with better cameras and sound but I'm just too busy with work. Thanks for watching!

Thank you for your reply!
No problem, was it helpful, haha. I can't even remember what it was about.
For some reason I go out ice fishing all the time and I don’t even get a NIBBLE. What depth do you fish at ?
We fish where the fish are and find them using sonar. What are you fishing for? On Cold lake in particular we fish at 60 to 120 feet deep usually.

@@britneyalyssa1314 Yes you would want to try deeper if not getting them in there.
Excellent!
thanks

Great video
Connor Hamilton thanks
Great video! What area did you access the Lake to drive on?
Went on at the provincial park boat ramp.
The reason no one drives out on cold lake that soon and out to far is even though it may be frozen it will have air pockets in between the ice layers.
That can be a hazard all season, not just early ice and can occur on any lake.
The Fishing Doctors Adventures there’s been winters where that lake has had no ice at all

brianq1 Quan I would like to learn about targeting walleye at cold lake. Usually just fish for lake trout.
