The role of nagin was first offered to Rekha; she turned it down saying she wasn't interested in playing a nagin and the role then went to Reena Roy. The rest, as they say, is history. Nagin became a blockbuster hit. Reena Roy and Premnath got the best dialogues. And the slow-motion running of Sanjay Khan, trying to save himself from the nagin, was beautifully picturised and was definitely one of the many highlights of the film.
But before rekha the role was offered to 1st asha parekh then to mumtaz ....they both rejected the role then it was offered to rekha she also rejected the role and then Reena Roy was selected as nagin
