This video is about how much I studied for the UCAT in 2020! Hopefully it gives you an idea of how much you need to be studying, how you should be doing it, and when the best time to start is! The amount I studied definitely shouldn't be considered as the right amount, or the perfect amount - you can definitely do better with more or less.

Could you please do a video where you answer questions on each subset? Perhaps an entire UCAT mock however I understand if you don't want to go through that pain again haha

I'm not currently planning on doing an entire UCAT mock, but I have already released me doing a verbal reasoning subtest live and a decision making subtest live! The QR and AR videos should be coming out soon as well!

hi emil, this was so helpful! i'm struggling a bit at the moment as i'm taking the exam in mid 2023, and i never know if i'm doing enough study. it's difficult because some sites like icanmed recommend 5-10 hours of ucat study per day on the summer holidays (!?) while others are much less rigorous. would you generally agree that 1-2 hours a day is sufficient, provided this is effective study?

Hi Emil, what preparation materials did you use? What would you recommend? (Kaplan & Medify are the options that commonly come up)
I used medify and medentry - I think both are good enough for the test!

@@sarah8200 i'd get medify for ucat and medentry for interviews if you're applying in australia. I only bought the online package for medentry

I had done Associate of Science Degere which is a 2 year course . I don't know whether I will go for UCAT or GAMSAT ? Can you help me out of it
I think you would have to do the GAMSAT. The UCAT is for school leavers
If it isn’t a bachelors degree than you can’t apply for graduate medicine, I think you would have to check with the university that you completed your associates degree whether it’s equivalent is a bachelors. However, from my knowledge an associate degree is a lower classification than a bachelors degree.

Well you cant apply to any medical school that accepts the GAMSAT unless you finish your studies with a bachelors degree, so at this point of time, unless you are planning to complete your studies you will have to do Ucat

Depends on how smart you are, and how smart you work, but yes
