The pre-nup conversation is very important. It's been misinterpreted a lot. A pre-nup is not entered into by a couple that "isn't sure" of their relationship or has fear that one will "drain" the other's money, it is however initiated into in order to save or protect your assets should one of y'all ever go bankrupt etc (knock on wood).
If that ever happens, no one can come for either of y'all money because your estate is not joint, the bank or whoever will have to come up with another way of getting their money back without touching the other partners money.
