A couple of things, one of which you've half covered in the comments. Firstly the noise level. To review a fan and not mention the noise as part of the review is quite a remiss. You actually turn the fan down whilst talking. You say it's not distracting to have on in the background - I don't know what consistutes the background (as far as a fan is concerned). It seems to me that a fan in use is hardly likely to be hidden away. Also the price is very high. Yet you don't address value for money at all? I'm not sure any of this helps me as I'm looking for a quiet, powerful, fan. Frankly for £80 and on a list of quiet fans, this should be it but I'm struggling with the competency of the reviews I've seen. Fans are one of the few things that are hard to judge in shops as the conditions are often very different from home. It's also difficult getting the shop owners to un-box the thing, set it up and offer a demonstration. Hmmm
Hi Wayne, thanks for your valuable comments. It was difficult for me to comment on the noise without another fan to compare, this was more just based on this particular one. I do have other fans of the more traditional style but they are quite a few years older and a bit rattily so not a fair shout. It was quiet but agree I did turn it down to talk, partly because camera was quite close. Part of the price will be to with the movement up and down as well as side to side, plus the remote. Again, without lining a load of new ones up it would be unfair to compare. I wish you luck with your final decision.
These fans are really quiet and perfect for in the bedroom or office, not the cheapest, but you get what you pay for.
