- On today's episode of going to the WORST REVIEWED MAKEUP ARTIST, she confesses that her salon is not doing well.
Is it really a case of the cost of living crisis and inflation being at an all time high, or is it just bad one star reviews ???

If she had balanced out the colours for blush and lippy it probably would have looked ok ! Too many bright colours. It isn't the worst you've had to be fair, she actually matched your foundation quite well.

The green shadow actually looks kind of cool…the problem is it looks terrible with that color red on the lips and then the shade of blusher she used. She seemed very kind and gentle though! Great vid!

Well green and red are complimentary colours but I see what you mean. Maybe a darker red?
Yes! A peachy nude would have looked stunning. The blush even could’ve worked if she had blended it and muted it a bit!
That’s just not how we do it Julia. No skin care? No clean sponge? No hands for smearing foundation!!! And applying product directly from the container?? And that’s not how we use green. She just needs to take a few classes, and she’ll be 100 times better.

I really like that she’s using the roll of paper on the table, like a doctor’s office for sanitary reasons. She was very concerned about not hurting you, which was refreshing. If I was there, torturing people with my very rusty French, I’d absolutely have her do my makeup. I truly think the hiccup was the colours fighting with each other. I think either suede/taupe shadows with toned bronzer or blush, and a strong lip colour, or go with the colourful eyeshadow, (truthfully that would be me, I’m the ‘dramatic eye’ type) a nude lip and bronzer in mid depth. The foundation match amazed me. You looked lovely anyway.

I’ve always wanted brown/black eyes because they go with any eyeshadow color. Plus they just look adorable and full of life. I never understood why light eyes get so much attention , I have blue green very light eyes and every fun bright color eyeshadow either makes them look small or makes me look like I’m from the 80s !
I have reverse hazel eyes that shift from blue to green too. I’ve found that as long as I don’t line my lower lashes, tightline the upper, and take a tiny dab of concealer that’s a smidge lighter than my normal and blend it from the outer corner of my eye almost like an exaggerated wing from bottom outer corner of the eye angled up toward my temple it works amazingly for making my eyes look wide and bigger 💜💜 I don’t know if it depends on your eyes shape but Robert Welsh does great tutorials on that if you’ve never tried it 🥰💜
Also I agree that brown, deep eyes are really underrated and there’s something so soulful and beautiful about them- they don’t get enough credit!
I just had the biggest shock! 1 minute and 30 seconds in …. I’m there think… ok, step one, cleans face step two….. moisturise😮 oh no scrap that …… slap on foundation like no one’s business!!! 🤪
When the make-up for the eyes as this green colour did then... go lighter for the lips, a nice soft pink would have go so well !
You should give her a high rating. She did pretty good.

She really did seem sweet and she did a good job. I think a bit lighter on the blush and a more nude type shade on your lips and it would of looked way nicer.
Still wouldn't say this was a bad place or make up it was just a bit harsh for your skin tone

I don't like that chunky pencil concealer! It seemed so dry(-ing). Also... I know she just washed her hands (besides firmly wiping them on the paper you're lying on), but all those fingertips almost poking your eyes made me uncomfortable.
I like that she has eyeshadow brushes!! But they all look like "pack on" brushes from here, even when she's blending I think she doesn't use a fluffy brush.
My god, what are those eyebrows?😱 It takes some getting used to! They're not bad bad, but definitely too long to the sides, IMO.
I can't understand why she chose to use the brush in such a weird way for blush...
I love green eyeshadow and I like the lipstick colour! I probably wouldn't have combined them together (it's a little garish). I agree with you: it's a tad overboard and a tiny bit clown-ish. More doll like in your case!

I agree it's a bit much. More blending and less clashing colours would make it better, even if the lip colour was sheerer it would balance the strong green shade, which suits you actually. Overall not bad and the salon was well organised and stuff. So.. yeah maybe just more colour theory and blending and it would be OK.

Hi Julia I haven’t seen you mention Robert Welsh’s reaction video to you and wondered if you’ve seen it?
It's not bad...but it's not good. I think it's just the color choices because she applied and blended well. If she had done a smokey color with a rosy instead of red lips/cheeks it would have been less aggressive.

I know it can be tricky to do other peoples eyebrows, also because we like to do them different from person to person.. but WHY did she do the tale so freaking long? 😳 Btw just wanna to tell you that u look so beautiful without any makeup ❤️❤️❤️

I agree, the blush is too strong and the lip color is not only too strong, it is the wrong shade of red for you. You need a blue red. Beyond that, she did extremely well. I think she doesn't have proper lighting.
I do not think MUA should have long nails and certainly not pointed.

I would've done a light pink lip and no blush but overall she did great. Brows were awesome and foundation match was on point. I loved the eye shadow too.

When you come across a decent makeup artist that may not deserve a 1 star, do you leave a good review for them?
The blush isn't the best, and maybe that color on your lids could be a little different shade... But in general she did a really decent job with your eyes, eye shadows are even and well blended. And she was washing her hands, brushes didn't look dirty. So all seems good.

She seems really sweet and all! And actually she's done pretty well! But all I can think of with this make up look is Cruella Deville... it's the green eyes and red lips 😂
great video to relax as usual, the MUA was so sweet. I really had fun during the foundation because it was just a box of surprises, at first she was applying so much foundation that looked like some viral challenge but the coverage and finished were nice plus it was your shade. the rest was a huge no for me, as a brazilian the eyes were just like our flag with all the green, yellow and blue
She basically did vintage makeup on you with the shadow and red lips.
She applied the foundation like she was giving a face massage
She was all over the place but so sweet! She made You look like a Raggedy Ann Doll lol
I studied beauty therapy and the application of her foundation would fail her in an exam especially with a bit of length in her nails the bacteria would go onto the face

I like the eyes but not the lips, too bright... A nude lipstick would be more wearable for ending the total look. And I don't like the blush ever... Too much.

Yea I'm not a fan of blush in general. I honestly think white cheeks are much nicer... And as far as the lips go, I only wear chapstick so who am I to judge lol... The eyes and brows are probably the most decent if u want to call it that...

The make up is ok, eye shadow well blended. I just think it looks a bit like stage/theatre make up, very full on
