Both Bob and Bing are about 62 years of age here. Both born in 1903. Bing would have a fatal heart attack 12 years later on his way back to the club house after 18 holes of golf.
You would, wouldn't you? But he didn't. Towards the end when he refused to retire, his eyes were failing and the cue cards were so big they could only fit a couple words on them. Also, the one guest Johnny Carson couldn't stand was Hope. Johnny wouldn't even have him on except there was only ONE person with more clout at NBC than Johnny and that was Hope. Because Hope had been there since the beginning. Hope could literally bump any guest and come on the show when he wanted and that infuriated Carson. Johnny would be given a list of questions by Hope's staff. Hope would memorize them. Carson said that if he asked a question out of order, Hope would answer the wrong question because he memorized them in order.
.Bing"I can't believe it, a devout coward like you? Aren't you afraid of rats?" .Bob: "Why should I be? I made six Road pictures with one." Gold! Pure gold!🤣🤣🤣
Not 'div.' 'Didee service.' Didee was a slang name for diaper. This was from the 1960's (when I was born). Although Pampers came out in 1961, most people did not use plastic disposable diapers because it often caused diaper rashes as the plastic was not breathable. Most people, my own parents included, used cloth diapers. Many people who did used a 'diaper service.' People would have what was called a 'diaper pail' where used diapers were deposited. Once a week or so, the diaper service would come by, take the used diapers and drop off clean ones. They would then launder and disinfect the used diapers and return them on the next pickup for reuse. Diaper service men often wore white uniforms. As did milkmen when that was a thing. I still remember our old milkman when I was a little boy and the milk box that was on our stoop. The gag here was that Bing had married that young chippie 30 years younger than him and had 3 more children in addition to the 4 he had from his first wife who had died. Of course, the first 4 were all adults when this aired but the other three were still small children.
Jack Benny would have been the one with the house for rent to Bob Hope! 😀 And his house would be a 'for sale by owner' to avoid paying real estate commission! 🤣
crosby.....the meanest man in hollywood, treated his sons like crap.....a womaniser...but still ran the family with an iron fist...his wife came second place...if he did not get his way...his family suffered...his voice was one of command....you dont obey you get kicked up the ass....all the `friendshp` with hope was false.....he hated his guts...but...all smiles for the camera
He was hardly the meanest man in Hollywood. Also, his friendship with Bob Hope was in fact real and genuine. According to Bob's wife Delores, they really loved each other. In fact, the two of them were discussing another picture 'The Road to the Fountain of Youth' when Bing died of that heart attack. You are correct though that he abused his children from his first marriage and was a womanizer who cheated on his first wife.
Yes, Bing abused the children from his first marriage and cheated on his first wife. However, what about his talent outside of his personal issues? He was a great singer. Number one in the country at one point.
You'd have to be of a certain age like me to appreciate it. Back when humor wasn't all about raunchy sex and foul language that would make a frat guy blush.
This was true comedy: no sex, no cussing, no nudity, just true, ingenius wit, charm and talent 😉👌
This is the last of our GREATS ALONG THE WAY ❤😂😅
Junior: "It's Fred Flintstone!"
Bing: "I may adopt that boy."
The laughs keep on coming🤣🤣🤣
Fantastic!
I love them so much❤

CLASSIC!!!🙃
For as long as Bob had been an entertainer, you would have thought that he would stop relying on cue cards.

even bob refuses to recognize the seventh road picture
.Bing"I can't believe it, a devout coward like you? Aren't you afraid of rats?"

Gold! Pure gold!🤣🤣🤣
Pretty funny stuff!
Bing Crosby died doing what he loves best: playing golf in Spain in 1977.
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
.Bing: "Families count for more. I have alot of mouths to feed."
.Bob: "Is it my fault you gave up golf."
🤣🤣🤣🤣
What's the div service?
Did you ever figure it out? I'm confused as well
@@JacksonWalter735 I'm still not sure. Maybe a laundry service or something?
He said it's the 'didi' service. Slang for diaper, or babies nappy.
It was a nod to the Texico sponsor that Bob had for his TV show for years. They all wore those white outfits.

Jack Benny would have gotten $5000. Hiring actors isn't cheap.

Not friends in the real world listen to the song sing together

Xx
Strange, normally Bing gets the better of Bob in their exchanges.
Sorry, i never preferred either one. Bing Crosby was an abuser, and I never found Bob Hope funny.

Those abuse allegations were disproven by two of his sons by his first marriage.
Boring
