Being a Bengali right from Childhood we used to celebrate Ma Annapurna Puja with Ashok Sasthi when I used to see my aunts and mother used to do the sasthi Puja with devotion !! They used to have a bit of Ashokh flowers with a piece of banana and break their fast at midday ! They used to have satwik food ! The Annapurna Puja was a great joy to us !! I still follow the rituals even though they are not followed in my in laws house ! Then comes our New Year Poila Boishakh ! All of go to mandir offer prayers and celebrate with our family friends !! This time Basanti Puja is also celebrated in many houses in Bengal !! This time all the festivals in India has so much similarities 😊
DAY 1 : Maa Shailputri (Peace & Purity) DAY 2 : Maa Brahmacharini ( Beauty & Happiness) DAY 3 : Maa Chandraghanta ( Elegance & Richness) DAY 4 : Maa Kushmanda (Joy & Enthusiasm) DAY 5 : Maa Skandamata (Growth & Fertility) DAY 6 : Maa Katyayani ( Emotional Healing & Marital woes) DAY 7 : Maa Kalaratri ( Dispelling darkness & negativity) DAY 8 : Maa Mahagauri ( Wealth & Opulence) DAY 9 : Maa Siddhidatri ( Epitome of universal love, harmony, affection, fostering unity & compassion).

I used to have similar questions as you told about at start of your this video. You have clarified many of my such queries and doubts in such a beautiful way. As a Sindhi, we have celebrated Cheti Chand our New Year on first day of Chaitra Navratri and end it with Ram Navami.. nine days of fasting and prayers to Maa Ambe / Durga Maa / Sheranwali Living in Kolkata, I have seen since childhood, my mother and aunts observe Sharad Navratri fasting starting with Next day of Mahalaya and end one day before Vijaya Dasami. Also, parents would always say eat the fruit or vegetables that are in season and your message about that resonates so well... Thanks so much If you can share about the logic of attire colour code for the nine daysm I will be grateful. I mean why that particular and not any other.
