I've travelling on Amtrak train even before Amtrak merged private Railroad Company for over 53 years. I hopped once or twice a year acrossing in any part of USA as I love it and no matter if the train is delays or on time because trains travel is a blast with a wonderful socially different people from all over the places and a beauty by looking views passing different areas too. And I'm using mostly sleeper car is the best! I used take Southern Pacific (SP) Peninsula Commuter trains for years. SP ran between San Francisco and San Jose and now it's called Caltrain extended to Gilroy (south of San Jose). For now covid and I will resume traveling again. For you guys taking a short trip on Amtrak to see if like the trains before taking long trip. Enjoy!
Beautiful Video! I tool that ride 2 years ago - from Saint Paul all the way to New York. I love the Union Depot in particular and it's fascinating that they have that massive structure in place for literally only 2 trains a day. Maybe there is more expected in the future... Next up for me, whenever I get a chance, take the Empire Builder the other direction - through the Rockys. (I have an entire Playlist of my trip as well - though, all narrated in German)
Thanks for visiting Minnesota my guy.
It's awesome here Minnesota gang. 😎
I'm actually going to the st.pual union depot tomorrow for a train event today since I live locally.
Great video. I’m planning to go to St Paul from Grand Forks North Dakota be my first time ride Amtrak , I’m nervous.
Any delays with Amtrak are typically due to having to share trackage with freight, and freight gets priority.
Of course, they don't own the tracks. We never stopped and waited, just took longer at the platforms than expected or planned.

People stopped traveling because of the virus. The Amtrak trains through Raleigh have been cancelled.
