Thanks a bunch for sharing this! Finding the right place to stay is my top priority. Fingers crossed I can secure a spot at Parkside North, just like you did!
Very cool video! Thank you for sharing this. Did a brief tour of this dorm, only 1st floor, and came away impressed! 7:28 - nice to know abt this sunny rooftop deck. 😎
What are the dimensions of your closet- width of each side- may need to get shelving to use vertical space. Do you think a bedside little pullout shelf is useful?
@@ZOOMINGIN71 I would say hold off on any shelf things until you move in and see for yourself! There is shelving on one side of the closet; so move in and then see if you need anything else!
I am a professional organizer asking for my som. May be my only chance to help him get situated. ☺️ I notice you have a lot of free vertical space within the built in shelves so wanted to break it up for better folded clothes storage. Also, do you recommend a mini bed side table?
both have AC; Cerritos is Honors only (I think) and location wise it's on opposite sides of the campus! Dining hall has different food; I prefer the more Asian food at Parkside!
It was a wonderful video, thanks for sharing. Quick question, how much did you pay for this dorm monthly? And do you have any information about off-campus housing?
www.csulb.edu/student-affairs/university-housing-residential-life/housing-rates ^^ The housing rate links and they have something called an installment plan; can read more there Some nearby apartments include the off campus dorm, Beachside, Channel Point Apartments, and ones near the traffic circle such as Landing and Circle Apartments!
I chose double! Suite has 4 beds and a shared bathroom and shared middle area, which is nice too but one bathroom for 4 is a little hard! It is nice too; either is good!
Good question! At CSULB Housing; there is a match roommate process where you can contact others of interest through the portal email once the application is in the mid-stage; information such as your sleeping preference time, Major, interests, will be all listed there. From that, you can further engage in contact through FB or IG if you so prefer! Also, Facebook groups such as CSULB Class of …. are sometimes useful in getting to know others and finding a roommate that will be in the same housing situation as you.
Is the commuter aspect a big thing? I’m thinking abt committing but that part is concerning me, esp since u said it can be quiet in the courtyard on the weekends😭
I found a good community at school; from my major (music), International students in my dorm my first year, and a Christian club on campus! I can’t say much about other things, but some people find community in the dorms and clubs as well. It is a little more challenging without a car to explore, but it is doable by bus to nearby areas!
@@evapatel7230 noooo don’t say that 😭😭😭 I had a good experience and I’m sure you will too! It’s really up to you to choose how outgoing and adventurous you will be during your time in college! I know some ppl who go to good colleges with communities around them but focus more on academics, etc . if anything, try it out and if you don’t like it there’s always the option to transfer to another college! 🫶🏻

@@ZOOMINGIN71 I don’t think there is a lot of space for a bed side table! And there is a drawer under the bed for folded clothes!
girl thank you so much for this !!! i applied and hoping to get accepted🤍
You’re so welcome! All the best to your college apps and decisions!
how is this compared to the Cerritos Dorm

hi! i know some time has gone by but im wondering if you chose the double premium or the suite style for parkside north? thank youuu

@@withluvrenee ohh was ur room the double standard?
@@ihrtpen yes!
You're so cool!
do you know if the 2 bedroom suites can be for only 2 people? I see 4 beds on the floor plan
it's usually 4 people!
Great video Questions is there a lot of upper classmen that live there or is it mix is there a good amount of upper classmen and freshmen ???
I think it’s a mix! I once attended a Parkside North Event; seemed like there were more freshmen than I knew about too haha! Hope that helps!
Quick question - how do you find potential roommates if you don’t know anyone else going there?

But I’m afraid so! Because Long Beach is a commuter school; more events and activities happen outside the school community, in my opinion!
oh!!! well that makes me feel 10000x worse abt attending😀😀😀😀😀

Can you share information regarding the cost for living in dorms, is it expensive?
