This is from 2005. Bruce Dickinson gives a great interview along side Janick Gers and at the beginning of the interview Bruce sets the journalist straight! Our Interviewer couldn't make it to the iron maiden event so we enlisted another interviewer who was there covering the event to conduct our on camera interviews with Iron Maiden, that person obviously didn't "know his ass from his elbow" LOL

This is hilarious. Janick tries to be good-natured about it all, but Bruce is out for blood from the start.

janick is a pro , great guy , and have always loved his amazing contribution to MAIDEN and bruces awesome solo work!!!
I love how Bruce puts it out there that Maiden is not a "nostalgia" band and that holds true even today, 17 years after this interview. So many bands from the 80's are touring today with their greatest hits and have not released an album in over a decade. Not the case with these guys. The best of the best.
and some are unable to play their hits and have been caught miming.

Look at what Bruce is wearing! I love it. Him and the rest of the band are so chill and down to earth and that's one of the many great things about them all. I love iron maiden
It was the opposite of what Bruce described for me. I went to Ozzfest for Maiden.
At the entrance a nervous lady with a clipboard approached us and explained Ozzy was ill and Sabbath wouldn't be playing tonight. She then asked if we'd like to get a refund. We all laughed. My dad said "Ozzy's sick? What's new? He's been sick for 20 years!" And we explained we were there for Maiden alone really.
I believe Maiden got to play longer as a result because they must have played 15-20 songs. Seen Maiden 7 times, of which that was the first, and it's still one of the best times I've seen them.
Just shows how humble these guys are and they know the reason for their success is the fans
I saw them on this Ozzfest tour. Ran through the first 5 albums. Revelations was a fucking blast out of nowhere!
I saw em at the time too, but too young to remember. however I saw the Legacy of the Beast and remember that well- Revelations threw me for a curve ball there for sure

Bruce doesn't tolerate B.S. I saw him in 1997(?) with Adrian Smith on the "Accident of Birth" tour at House of BLues in Chicago. A roadie or a tech hadn't set up a fan for bruce & the band correctly(, and the mix wasn't perfect. During Adrian's solo he stormed over to (his) left side of the stage, fixed shit, gave someone a Drill Sergeant level ass reaming, and suddenly...back to singing, right on time. shit was fixed.
+José Luis Enríquez Bruce and Adrian were together for two of Bruce's solo albums. accident of birth was the one I saw them together on.

I'd love to hear Bruce 's opinion on all these pop stars, and reality TV celebrities who go around wearing band T shirts just for the sake of being in fashion, or cool. when in reality they probably don't know,or like their music.
People should be allowed to wear whatever they want.

I have been a maiden fan since 1982 when I first heard number of the beast album I love maidens music just as much today as I did all those years ago its not just the music but the whole package that ya get with maiden that I like they really do put there fans first and for all the success they have had there isn't any ego from any band member Lee Hambleton from Sheffield

Maiden's first Bay Area CA appearance, July 1982 Number of the beast, opened for the Scorpions my 13th B-Day, first Metal band I ever saw. They have only gotten better and put on the most inspiring shows I've seen to this day and I've seen all the Metal bands you could shake a stick at. July 5th 2017, book of souls, Oakland CA. AMAZING! Like old friends they are. Crackling with Energy!
There are like 500 million people who would pay to interview these guys for 5 minutes...

Bottom line is, Maiden has always been and will always be, about the fans and the music! They are us and we are them. They are regular people. Bruce does not tolerate ignorance, incompetence, elitism and I think he loves every opportunity he is given to expose them for what they are, and by them I mean, the media, the radio/music industry, Hollywood and celebrities in general. I love every one of them, Nicko, Steve the whole gang. And Bruce, I would follow him to hell and back.

Maybe i was sensitized by the interviewer calling Janick Gers Dave Murray but there were several times where the stand-in interviewer discredited both Janick and Bruce with what could be taken as belittling questions. Wow. I feel like this guy shouldn't be let anywhere near serious, hard-working musicians with a microphone.

YUP! I just let the cameras roll LOL Our interviewer got stuck in traffic and couldn't make it and this person was brought in by one of the publicists he was there getting Radio interviews and we just let him continue as we rolled cameras :) it was cringe live in person lol

I understand the interviewer may have needed to do some research before the interview but it was completely unnecessary how Bruce was blasting a bad attitude from the start, even before the interviewer got Janick's name wrong.

I'm opposed to the RRHOF because it's elitist and has nowt to do with the music or the fans. Just look at all the artists who ain't in there and never get voted. Does it mean they're somehow not worthy? Of course not. In fact I would say you have more cred just by not being in that stupid club coz not everyone is gonna get voted.
