Seeing that Tamiya came out with their new TC-01 chassis which seems to be designed with both open and closed wheel designs in mind, I wonder if they're planning on making RC versions of some of the Mini 4WD cars...
Larger self-propelled Hot Wheels cars? I guess that makes sense. Generally what happens is that they make the RC versions first then if the body design is popular enough, they make a Jr. version for Mini 4WD.
I remember there being hotwheels scale version of these things decades ago, they were also modular and pretty sweet. Just charged them up on a dock then let them rip on the track. I can't remember the name of them though, maybe someone else remembers ?
@@Z3NBluster That's the exact right idea, but they ones I'm thinking of looked more like these tamiya 4WD than regular hot wheels cars like the XV did. They came as kits you assembled, so you could swap the wheels, motors, gears, bodies etc between them all.
