    I used this product on five lures so far. Absolutely excellent I spun mine. Has a longer working time than Defcon
    Thx

    The Lurecoat is nice ,my first time using went a little heavy and I hang mine ( no turner) cleaned out my eyelets but in the morning they were solid and a bear to clean out . note to self use a lighter coat.

      Using epoxy I would put on turner for best results

      Put it on a turner. Use masking tape over the hook and line tie eyelets

    I’m with ya on the KBS. You just can’t get the quality of a finish using KBS as you can with 2-part epoxy, or UV cure coating

    I may try it when my batch of Epoxy runs out. I’m always looking for a better product.

    I would like to know what size lure coat you buy, I'm looking at the smallest size. I inquired Lurebuild about the shipping costs and haven't received a response as yet. Do you know how much it is? I might just go ahead and order it. However, with the cost of shipping it tends to add up. On some items,shipping is the same as the items or more. Thanks.
    I really like your work, I learn something new with every video.

    Great videos. Question I have my air brushes keep clogging up. I’ve tried thinning Createx paint. I’m spraying in my garage which you is very hot and humid (FL). The air brushes brand are Masters. Should I purchase a more expensive air brush or move my operations indoors?

    • @customlurepainter
      @customlurepainter  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you, I thin all my paints except Golden paints, Airbrushes is really personal preference, I’ve used them all from masters to badger, Iwata and creos, my opinion is the high end guns make a difference.

    Do you have to put the bait on a turner or can you just let it dry stationary without any runs?

    • @customlurepainter
      @customlurepainter  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      You can do both, I use a turner self leveling, eliminates mistakes

    I tried using lurecoat and brushed it on most likely about the same thickness as I've seen in the video. Mixed up as per instructions. Ended up with fisheye. Using it on blank hardbaits. FB user groups on airbrushing say brush it on "thin." Tried brushing it on then - same issue - does not compare to KBS and ends up with fisheye. I brush, brush and brush more. Have tried putting it on thin. Hardbait free from contamination, temp and humidity are within target range. I wish there was more broad discussion of potential issues not only with this product but all others. I see the same thing over and over, "the greatest product since sliced bread."

      I can only speak for myself, I don’t have issues with it, a lot of people I have spoken with use harsh chemicals to clean airbrushes, when they stopped no issues, I don’t know your situation but I’m sure it can be resolved, I weigh it and brush it on with very good results.

      One other thing , I let epoxy bottles sit in warm water for about 5 minutes.

    • @customlurepainter

      How are you mixing, are you weighing it or eye balling it, do you clean your airbrush with a harsh cleaner?

    • @tombertrand453

      @@customlurepainter Mixed such a small amount that I just eyeballed it.

    Gday mate I have just started watching your channel . I have some thoughts. I appreciate the fact you are promoting a sponsor which is great but. If you are going to bag another (Aussie for deride a product) You should show a comparison. For instance I take photos of my lures when they are wet and dry later ofcourse the wet ones look so much better. Cheers mick . Just my opinion
    P.S. I have not used either of the products
