Awesome video and thanks for sharing. Thanks, and you’re welcome! I assume you’re talking about the radio station favorites, not shortcuts…the shortcuts are actually the 5 icons on the far left of the screen. So you have deleted some of your radio station favorites, and when you go to save a new favorite it gives you that message. So I’m thinking that there is something not quite right here as it should not be trying to save the radio station to shortcuts at all, rather it should be saving them to radio favorites. Now that being said, I’m assuming that to delete the radio presets you clicked on the little icon on the top right of the radio screen, and then clicked “manage favorites “ and deleted them from that screen. Great video, but I have a question, on the apple carplay, can you put the GPS full screen like how you can do on the maps or is it stuck with that clock on the right?
I believe you can with the latest update to Apple CarPlay. You should see an X but made with arrows in one of the corners of the Apple CarPlay screen. Click on that and it should expand to full screen. If you don’t see the X in one of the corners , then you will not be able to expand it. Thanks for watching!
Thanks for the compliment! Maybe with an update (when they have one available) that lag will disappear. Congratulations on the new ride and thanks for watching!
Question, I noticed while you had it on Apple CarPlay that there was not an option or at least you did not show an option would screen and happy Apple CarPlay cover the entire screen. Ward at 1:50 turn? I noticed on the Google. Wondered if you are only confined to a split screen using apple
Thanks for the question. You are not confined to a Split View in Apple CarPlay. Each app within apple CarPlay can be full screen, and the same is true of Android Auto. Thanks for watching!
Thanks for the question. To hook your phone up for using its data for Google apps, you’ll need to turn on your phones hotspot, then go into the vehicles settings, go to WiFi, and select your phone as the WiFi network, then type in your password for the phones hotspot. Thanks for watching!

Yes. You would do it the same way as setting up any profile, just be sure to only have the key fob you want assigned to that profile with you, leave the other key fobs in the house or at least far enough away from the vehicle so it can’t sense it. Thanks for watching!
Not for the first couple of months or so there is a free trial period but after that expires, google maps, google assistant and the google play store will stop working, unless you purchase a plan through onstar. Thanks for watching!
The only item that gets rid of the clock and is full screen is the built in navigation. Having the camera on also gets rid of the clock. Hopefully an update in the future will fix that. Thanks for watching!
22 denali door handle button not unlocking doors only locking is there a setting for that? it used to work the first few months i had it. also i can’t bring the door steps out or the tailgate down unless the truck is unlocked, which it also did not use to do that. 🤷♂️ thank you.
Thanks for the questions. If there is a setting for those items, you should find it under settings in the infotainment screen. Once in settings look for lock/unlock or tailgate. If you see no settings for those, then there is not a way short of taking it to the dealership for them to figure out. Thanks for watching!
That message is typically seen when the power train control module senses a problem that could cause further damage if it isn’t addressed. I would suggest that you take it to the dealership as soon as possible to have them diagnose any issues it should still be under warranty. Thanks for watching
Thanks! I show it in the video if you start at 7:27 and watch for about a minute. Basically it’s under options and then lower gauges, if you set that to maximum you will see oil pressure on the far right. Thanks for watching!
Does that clock on the right of the infotainment always stay there?? Seems like such a waste of space compared to having the Apple CarPlay to go edge to edge
But I do have a question: Rain sense is an option that some have and some do not have. I have a 2023 GMC 1500 Denali and despite all of the cool options, it claims not to have rain sense. It is not on the window sticker, not in the manual and my turn signal stalk does NOT have the “Auto” mark on the wiper settings. BUT, I do have rain sense. I don’t know how why, but I have it. I do not know how I turned it on, but it works. I’m Florida and it rains here. I twisted the selector up a few clicks today during a decent storm. The wipers sped up, slowed down, stopped wiping and started again on their own, according to the rainfall. It seems not to matter what position I have twisted the knob, the system works. I am NOT complaining either. I was bummed when I was told that my $78K truck didn’t have it. They blamed it on the chip shortage. But I have it and no one can explain how I have it. Any clues/
The GMC Elf on the Shelf must have put the chip in! LOL! Perhaps it was one of the last 2023’s to get the chip? Your guess is as good as mine. But like you said, who’s complaining! Congratulations again on such a great truck, enjoy the ride! Thanks for watching!
Hello, very informative video. I was trying to find an solution as for why my audio: radio/ spotify pauses. It pauses briefly and they continues buy its annoying. Any idea of why? Or what can I do? At first I thoughtit was the internet but it happens with regular radio music. I’d appreciate your advice and thanks for this video!
Thanks for the compliment! My first thought is do the pause’s happen in the same area most of the time? If so there could be something that blocks the signal, a building, or electronic security devices in a building, for which there is nothing you can do about it. Short of that idea, you could try resetting the infotainment system to its defaults and see if that helps. Thanks for watching!
Thanks for responding. No, actually it happens randomly at different places and times. Like for example now I’m in my parking in front of my house and music suddenly pauses. It happens with my Spotify as well and my husband says that when he’s on the phone sometimes it pauses the sounds
Your welcome. Have you checked your cell phone signal strength when this happens to see if it’s receiving poorly? I would suggest trying to reset your infotainment system back to its defaults and/or rebooting your phones. . The music pausing when the phone is receiving an active phone call is normal (if the phone is connect to the vehicle via Bluetooth) Thanks for watching
This happens to me as well. I believe it has to do with google assistant. Every time it pauses, it shows on the top left corner of the screen “play the news” once you click that prompted message, it will open up google assistant and you can click anywhere else on the screen to get out of it. The message will then disappear and it will play your music without anymore interruptions. It is pretty annoying.
Hello, I'm Ercan. I watched your video. I have a request. I'm in Turkey. The radio frequencies of these vehicles do not work. Can you help me with how I can convert the European frequencies?
Thanks for the question. Some radios have a “region “ option under settings for the radio that will allow you to select your region, I did not see this on the Sierra, but I could have missed it so check under settings and radio to check. You could check in the google play store to see if a European radio app is available. If those options are not available your easiest option would be to download a European radio app to your phone and then access it via Apple CarPlay or Android Auto. Thanks for watching!
Is there ANY way to set up notification tail gate is open, I have 7k on my 2023 Denali and have found taikl gate openend several times without knowing it. switch is right in middle where storage tray is on console, and it maybe is opening if I have dongle in jeans pocket with a couple other things, maybe opening it !!!
The buttons are in rear of the center console so the rear passengers can reach them right along with all their other climate buttons. Thanks for watching!
I have a couple of glitches with this truck. I opted to not continue with a data plan. 1) The speed sign display in the HUD shows a blank white rectangle. I can turn that off in the display settings but it comes back every time I start the truck. 2) I use CarPlay through WiFi or Bluetooth. If I'm listening to the radio and receive a text (and listen to the text), the radio flips to Apple music and doesn't return to the radio. I have to manually go back to the radio with three button pushes. 3) I believe this is satellite radio only, but every time I get in the truck and start it, it says 'Loading Audio' indefinitely until I push the station up or down button on the steering wheel. The radio will then start, but on the next station. Again, button pushes to get back to where I was.
Thanks for the comment. I would recommend resetting the system to its default settings to see if that fixes the issues. If that does not work, see if there is an update you can run, and if that too doesn’t work, I would think about being out back to the dealership to let them fix. Thanks for watching!
How do save the user data? Everytime i get in the radio sets back to default. Google asks the same questions everytime like its a new day. It that normal. I also have to connect my phone everytime. It does save info. What am i doing wrong?
You can go to settings, then connections and then phones. From there you should be able to delete your phone from the system. Next go on your phone and go into your Bluetooth connections and delete the connection to your car. Now if you still want your phone running through the system but not through Apple CarPlay, then repair your phone with the vehicle, but, when it asks you to enable apple CarPlay, click deny (or no) then your phone will connect via Bluetooth instead of Apple CarPlay.
For the cameras, when I purchased the truck a month ago, the guide lines were showing up on all camera angles, now they are gone. Do you know how to get the gridlines back on? 2023 Sierra
I have a 2023 GMC Denali Sierra and we have a furrion backup camera that plugs into a cigarette lighter but there isn't one in our new truck. Can you help me with this or can the camera's for towing help with this. Thank you in advance.
Yes. Not sure where your planning on having the camera mounted but If you have the towing package, then you have additional camera options for the trailer (of-course the trailer would need to have cameras on it). A total of 14 cameras are possible with the tow package. You can have one at the back of the trailer, one inside the trailer, and one that provides a kind of ghosted out view of the front of the trailer. It is really an incredible camera system when the tow package is factory installed. GMC has one of the best camera systems I’ve seen. The trailer and trailer cameras require a bit of setup but pretty easy. The connection from the truck to the trailer is simply in the existing electrical connection
So apparently GM decided to remove the weather app when the new infotainment system. Spend more $$$ with less features. I also hate the way you can't "alert" a singer or song on the satellite radio. Another feature that is missed. Great video! Other than a few 3rd world issues...this is a pretty great unit. Unfortunately, OnStar and GM are little help when it comes to any issues that arrive so Google most of your issues first lol.
Thanks for the comment. That shouldn’t be happening so I would suggest a trip to the dealership is in order and let them fix it under warranty. Thanks for watching!
Thanks for the question using the steering wheel controls, tap the left/right arrows till you get to the information icon. Then using the thumb wheel scroll down to either left side info or lower gauges (can’t remember which one for sure) and click. From here you can choose what to display and total miles will be one of the options. Thanks for watching!

I have a 2023 GMC Sierra AT4, my ports by the shifter. When I plug my phone in it doesn’t show and usb devices connected but it starts charging? Any advice here I like to plug my iPhone in via usb cable
Thanks for the question, your not alone in having this issue. Here is what I can tell you, the USB’s in the front that you are plugging into should work (at least the usb A) to connect your phone to the system. When you plug in next time watch your phone and infotainment screen for a message about trusting this device, and a message about using Apple CarPlay or Android Auto. You will want to say yes to trusting the device and then choose the appropriate choice for your phone type (Apple CarPlay or Android Auto) and it should work. That being said sometimes owners don’t see any messages pop up, in that case I would suggest resetting the infotainment system to its defaults (look under settings in the infotainment screen) and restarting your phone, and then try plugging it in again. Short of that I’d try the USB’s in the armrest storage area. Hope that helps and thanks for watching!
So the left side buttons changes between your saved favorites. If you want to scroll there each channel or station, you’ll need to first go to the radio screen in the drivers dashboard, then use the scrolling wheel on the right side of the steering wheel to go from channel to channel. Thanks for watching!
Someone told me its possible to watch TH-cam, Netflix and other streaming apps on the GMC 2023 screen with a wireless adapter. Are you familiar with this adapter, and if so, which one would I need?
Thanks for the question. That’s strange, as the owner, you should be able to go into Profiles, and create a new user using your name. Have you tried deleting the guest account? Does it list another account as admin , if so see if you can delete that as it might have been set by the dealership and they may need to give you a password or code to get into that profile and delete it, I’m guessing that when they sold you the truck, someone prepping the car forgot to reset those profiles. I do think the Guest Profile is always available as a default, so this may be a better idea, call your salesman and ask him if the dealership set up an admin profile, if they did, ask them for the code to get into it so you can delete it and create a new profile. Short of that you could try resetting the infotainment system to its defaults then try setting up a new profile. Hope one of those ideas will help. Thanks for watching!
Just in case, here are the steps GM gives for creating a new profile: Touch the User button on the Home screen. Select Create a Profile. The User Terms and Privacy Statement will appear. Select View and read through the terms and statement using the scroll arrows. Select Accept. A check mark will appear confirming acceptance. Enter your email address from your Owner Center account. If you don’t have an account, create a profile by entering an email and creating a password. Choose a Profile Image to use as a User icon on the Home screen and select Next. Assign a key fob to your Profile. If you want to tie your profile to your key fob, it should be the only key fob in the vehicle when you create the profile.
Alright I think I might know what you’re talking about. There are two car icons that can turn green or turn off the green color. The first one has to do with your following distance of the car in front of you. That car icon lights up in green if you are a safe distance from the car in front of you, but the green color will turn off if the vehicle is so far ahead of you the system can’t measure the distance, so the icon turns from green to greyed out. The other option is your lane keeping assist. If you’re centered nicely in your lane, the car icon is green, but if you stray to close to a side of your lane, the car icon will turn from green to grayed out. Hope that helps and thanks for watching!
Thanks for the question. In the drivers information screen, go to the info page, then scroll to the page with the tpms info on it. Now press the thumb wheel and you should be able to select psi instead of kpa. Once you have highlighted psi as your choice, press the thumb wheel again and that should set it to read in psi. Thanks for watching!
@@HamadNawad hmmm, well you did it the correct way, not sure why it did not work. Perhaps try holding the thumb wheel down for a few secs instead of a quick push, just a thought, otherwise I’d have the dealership take a look at. Thanks for watching!
@@casycasy5199 thanks for the question. You can turn off auto lock under settings in the infotainment system. So click on settings then click on power door locks, from there you will see what to turn off. Or you could watch the video starting at 27:56 and see what I’m talking about. Thanks for watching
@@سيف2017-ض6د ok if you turned it on how it shows in the video then it should have turned on, there’s no other way to do it which means one of two things, either your vehicle has a problem which a dealer would need to fix, or because chip shortages, your vehicle, although it shows the speed sign reading icon, was not equipped with the chip, so it will not function. Either way, if it were me, I’d take it back to the dealership to have them fix it, or I’d call them and ask if my truck did not have the chip that would enable the speed sign reader. Hope that helps
Thanks for the question. You can remove the split window but only in certain screens like navigation. I believe with the latest updates from apple and android you can also remove the split window while running Apple CarPlay or Android Auto. Thanks for watching!

Not as an easy to get to feature. @@TwoGuysandaRide My 2011 Ford F-250 had bread crumbs. I use the crap out of it, I just traded my 21 F-150 Platinum for a 23 Denalli and the difference is that GM is still light years away from Fords.

Thanks for the question. Either in the infotainment screen or down by your cup holders you should see a button (or icon if it’s in the screen). Push that button or icon to engage parking assist then follow the directions on the screen. Hope that helps and thanks for watching!
I did that which is really self explained in that regard but it just doesn't turn on or activate which is why I'm really confused. 2022 gmc Sierra Denali. Iwas wondering if anything needed to be activated on the electric panel but i went thru everything i could.
@@westcoast2797 hmmm…that is puzzling. It should have activated. I have three thoughts here: 1. Is it missing the chip that would enable the park assist since there has been a chip shortage? 2. I would take it back to the dealership and have it fixed under warranty, what your doing to activate it is correct, 3. Have you tried doing a long push on the button, as perhaps it needs to be pushed for 2-3 seconds before it activates? Hope those ideas help. Thanks for watching and good luck!
I had no idea about the shortage! Im hoping thats the issue i tryed the long hold different times while driving and off just not activating or senses the close objects either.
Can you clarify what your asking for help with? I’m assuming your referring to the gauge cluster at 7:43 in the video? So what exactly did not work? Thanks for watching!
Still waiting to see if this this will ever be improved so that it performs with adequate speed or if any 3rd parties offer a replacement. My $65k, 2022 Chevy Silverado truck came with a pathetically slow infotainment system. It performs as badly as a $65 Chinese Android tablet that you buy for your 2 year old to keep them entertained with cheap games.
Thanks for the question. As of now, no. There are only two scenarios where that side window disappears and that is in the navigation window and when using the backup camera. Hopefully in a future update they will give us the ability to do that in all apps. Thanks for watching!
For the cameras, when I purchased the truck a month ago, the guide lines were showing up on all camera angles, now they are gone. Do you know how to ge the gridlines back on? 2023 Sierra

Yes. You would do it the same way as setting up any profile, just be sure to only have the key fob you want assigned to that profile with you, leave the other key fobs in the house or at least far enough away from the vehicle so it can’t sense it. Thanks for watching!

Do you need a subscriptions to use google assistant? Like on star ?
Not for the first couple of months or so there is a free trial period but after that expires, google maps, google assistant and the google play store will stop working, unless you purchase a plan through onstar. Thanks for watching!
Is there a way to get rid of the clock to make everything else full screen?
The only item that gets rid of the clock and is full screen is the built in navigation. Having the camera on also gets rid of the clock. Hopefully an update in the future will fix that. Thanks for watching!
Does this work on the 2023 GMC Sierra Elevation Crew Cab?
Yes give or take a few features because of the differences between trim levels. But 99% should be the same thanks for watching!
Is it possible to make CarPlay full screen or is it always a split screen?
Not at this point, perhaps in a future update.
Hey how do you disable reduced acceleration drive with care
That message is typically seen when the power train control module senses a problem that could cause further damage if it isn’t addressed. I would suggest that you take it to the dealership as soon as possible to have them diagnose any issues it should still be under warranty. Thanks for watching
Where does it show the oil pressure. Nice video
Thanks! I show it in the video if you start at 7:27 and watch for about a minute. Basically it’s under options and then lower gauges, if you set that to maximum you will see oil pressure on the far right. Thanks for watching!
@Two Guys and a Ride Thank you
On the camera can you wide the camera view to full screen?
Thanks for the question. What’s shown in the video is as “full screen” as it gets. Thanks for watching!
The camaras rear tires look good? Couldn't tell from video. All my camaras look great except the rear tirez looks low quality. Thanx.
Not bad
Does that clock on the right of the infotainment always stay there?? Seems like such a waste of space compared to having the Apple CarPlay to go edge to edge
You can try swiping right on the clock. If Apple CarPlay is able to be full screen it will allow you to swipe away the clock. Thanks for watching
On your touch screen, go to Settings, Vehicle, Comfort and Convenience, Rain Sense Wipers 😉

How to activate the heating for rear seats..?
The buttons are in rear of the center console so the rear passengers can reach them right along with all their other climate buttons. Thanks for watching!
Thank you very much for doing this video.

Can you remove the clock part and just have a full screen of the radio.?
Only in the navigation window. Thanks for watching!
How do get the split screen to go away?
Turn on navigation, it seems that is the only screen the split window goes away. Thanks for watching!
Hey
I have a question
How to change psi to kpa and vice versa
Look under settings, then units. You should be able to change it there Thanks for watching!
How do save the user data? Everytime i get in the radio sets back to default. Google asks the same questions everytime like its a new day. It that normal. I also have to connect my phone everytime. It does save info. What am i doing wrong?
Thanks for the question. I would try creating a drivers profile, and sign into Google. Thanks for watching!
How do u un sync the AC from calls coming in or out and others..?
2023 Sierra
See answer above
The green car light on the dashboard what does it mean

@@TwoGuysandaRide Thank you
So apparently GM decided to remove the weather app when the new infotainment system.
Thanks for the feedback and thanks for watching
My gas gage never changes. There is a miles remaining display but the gage doesn’t seem the move.
Thanks for the comment. That shouldn’t be happening so I would suggest a trip to the dealership is in order and let them fix it under warranty. Thanks for watching!
How do I get Apple Maps full screen?
You don’t. That’s the size it is set at. Perhaps with a future update that will change, but for now that’s the size you get. Thanks for watching!
Good video but I try to find the total miles - mine won’t show them - I see them on the left on your display??

On my 2023 gmc AT4X the channels does not switch on the left side to change channels
So the left side buttons changes between your saved favorites. If you want to scroll there each channel or station, you’ll need to first go to the radio screen in the drivers dashboard, then use the scrolling wheel on the right side of the steering wheel to go from channel to channel. Thanks for watching!
Android Auto does have a split screen. Not sure what you meant by saying that Android Auto doesn't have it.
You are correct, at the time my android had not been updated to reflect that. Thanks for watching!
Someone told me its possible to watch TH-cam, Netflix and other streaming apps on the GMC 2023 screen with a wireless adapter. Are you familiar with this adapter, and if so, which one would I need?
We’ve heard about that but haven’t seen the accessory that does it so we don’t have any recommendations
I'm on the guest profile and since it's not admin, I can't make a new account and Everytime I turn off the truck everything resets how do I fix this
Thanks for the question.
@@TwoGuysandaRide I figured out how to fix it I had to go to reset safe mode and that fixed it
Why does the green car light on dashboard come on and go off constantly what is it
Alright I think I might know what you’re talking about.
Any idea how to change my tire pressure from kpa to psi gmc sierra at4 2023?
Thanks for the question. In the drivers information screen, go to the info page, then scroll to the page with the tpms info on it. Now press the thumb wheel and you should be able to select psi instead of kpa. Once you have highlighted psi as your choice, press the thumb wheel again and that should set it to read in psi. Still no Nav that drops breadcrumbs??
Not as an easy to get to feature. Thanks for the question. Watch the video, I show you how to do that.
@@TwoGuysandaRide sorry I meant to say how to pair 2 phones one default and the second one as secondary

Park assets is not activating for me how do I activate it
Thanks for the question. Either in the infotainment screen or down by your cup holders you should see a button (or icon if it’s in the screen). @@westcoast2797 hmmm…that is puzzling. It should have activated. I have three thoughts here: 1. Is it missing the chip that would enable the park assist since there has been a chip shortage? 2.
