Johann Strauss II (October 25, 1825 - June 3, 1899), also known as Johann Strauss, Jr., the Younger, the Son (German: Sohn), Johann Baptist Strauss, was an Austrian composer of light music, particularly dance music and operettas. He composed over 500 waltzes, polkas, quadrilles, and other types of dance music, as well as several operettas and a ballet. In his lifetime, he was known as "The Waltz King", and was largely then responsible for the popularity of the waltz in Vienna during the 19th century.
Some of Johann Strauss' most famous works include "The Blue Danube", "Kaiser-Walzer", "Tales from the Vienna Woods", and the "Tritsch-Tratsch-Polka". Among his operettas, Die Fledermaus and Der Zigeunerbaron are the best known.

This is the best version I’ve heard. The tempo is bang on. Well done Vienna.
I can see the feelings of the audience beautifully. It’s a reflection of Donau. Congratulations!!

It must be thrilling to be in Vienna and hear each delicate note from The Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra as they perform one of their own, in Strauss' "Blue Danube Waltz".
Bravo bravissimo spectacular performance ❤

Actually I thought I'd add I forwarded this to my dear childhood lifelong Viennese friend we're both in our 60s now. But I noted how grateful I am to have had a such a blessed childhood growing up here in San Diego with an aunt who took me and my cousin to see many of the symphonies operas and plays of the day. One of favorites was the old SD Starlight Opera, of course, which was the jewel of Balboa Park back then, and so wish our fearless leaders would get of their honkers and restore to it to it's former glory. It just saddens me how all that was once good seems to be forgotten or tossed by the wayside. 😢
At least the Jacobs have done more for the city than any government, haha. What about the Shell or the Jacobs Center renovations? ☀️
aus außer bei mit nach seit von zu , learning German is so much fun with this Masterpiece 🎼🎶🎵
Johann Stauss Musik ist unsterblich und zu jeder Zeit aktuell.
This tune came to my mind when I was waiting in line for the Silver Star roller coaster in Germany's Europa Park. The wheels of the incoming coaster waggons gave the exact rhythm that occurs in the strings' build up right here: 1:14: 𝅘𝅥𝅘𝅥𝅮𝅘𝅥𝅮𝅘𝅥, 𝅘𝅥𝅘𝅥𝅮𝅘𝅥𝅮𝅘𝅥, 𝅘𝅥𝅘𝅥𝅮𝅘𝅥𝅮𝅘𝅥, 𝅘𝅥𝅘𝅥𝅘𝅥... It also fitted to the euphoric feeling of what was about to come.
Fantasztikus!!!❤❤❤
I have 1oz golden mints with Wiener Philharmoniker - Republik Osterreich motive. Such an amazing cultural legacy.
Every conductor has their own interpretation. This fellow is rather interesting...
Danke. 🙏
Überirdisch schön. JL
This music makes me proud to be human.

Rude people! The music begins and fools make noise.
Only for few moments with a different intention than distracting them.
The Blue Danube is an encore of this concert.
Actually this is a tradition in New Year Concert of Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra. Audience back in 1954 New Year Concert, When the Blue Danube begins, some audiences clapped with enthusiastically applauding and cheering. In the present days, this becomes a tradition during the Blue Danube begins playing, and the conductor will greet them Happy New Year.
Other than the harp, no women in orchestra.
Actually I didn't like the "nervous" manner of string's accompanement.
