I was a victim of SA and still acted like everything was okay but inside... I was going through absolute TURMOIL and got very aggressive and hostile with people I loved. There is no "act like a victim" phase. Just because she's calm and collected on the outside, does NOT mean she didn't go through trauma.

To be able to forgive someone that took it upon himself to take her life as she knew it, keep her captive for 9 months on top of all the other horrifying things he did, SPEAKS VOLUMES OF HOW WONDERFUL OF A PERSON SHE IS, NOT ONLY ON THE OUTSIDE, BUT ALSO ON THE INSIDE.

@Yhkz_jdiis victims shut down and get agitated when pressured to talk about traumatic things. That's pretty normal. Egging on someone who is trying to come down from a flight or fight response that lasted almost a year just pushes them to stay in flight or fight. They worry about getting through the day and not about planning for anything. Deflecting, disassociating, shutting down and lashing out is pretty darn typical of assault and kidnapped victims. On top of being made out to be a liar by news medias all over the world when you have vivid memories or the abuse you endured is a whole mess of emotions to top it all off.

I absolutely despise that woman & always have. It's one thing to have news shows and even dramatize news to an extent to get people's attention. What she does goes so far beyond that. First, she's a human vampire vulture, feeding off of the misery of others- usually normal people who wake up one day, or come home from work or grocery shopping or something and discover their loved one is missing or murdered and they're suddenly in the middle of a nightmare no one can even begin to prepare for. She's peppering them with personal questions in their most vulnerable state on live TV sometimes, then SHE decides their guilt or innocence within hours, usually based on something asinine like whether they've cried enough to satisfy her or how many people they dated in high school or maybe they had the audacity to go out and eat a meal with family or be seen laughing at something someon said. Then uses her platform of network tv to broadcast her "expert" opinion to millions about why this person is guilty or innocent, often influencing community involvement in the investigation & harassment of the family.

Trust me I have watched crime documentaries all the time and I listen to friends of mine come up with the wrong conclusions every single time and they look at me like I'm crazy when I get it right. And then they asked me how did you know that and I said all you have to do is pay attention. One plus one will always equal two.

The way she kept her emotions in check and her Panic at Bay for 9 months that 99 plus percent of people wouldn't be able to do and wouldn't have made it out alive means that she also can control her emotions in all aspects of her life. Like when talking to the media about her experience. People don't understand that because people can't control their emotions and can't keep themselves from panicking.

Exactly! Even IF (Hypothetically) it happened to turn out it was a run away case, either way, she’s still a young minor who needed to be found whether she was gone willingly or not! She’s too young to make that choice with no police follow up at the very least just to check on her well fare if nothing else. If my kid ran away, I would STILL be in constant panic and worry because there’s still danger out there that they need guidance in. Even life in general. So yea it was messed up to not realize how easily kids can be manipulated and lured into things. Willingly or abducted, she was 100% still a missing child! Like ur statement said how did they really expect her to pull that off by choice herself? Did they all lack common sense when this happened or what?

    • @ElysetheEevee
      @ElysetheEevee 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

So true. There are so many cultures around the world that blame women for the things that happen to them by someone else's hand. It's gross. You'd think with how "elevated" the US is, we'd be doing better about that. Nope.
All the incels here just make excuses like, "they're all just crying wolf, making uo stories and is US who gets screwed over," or "its easy for a women to fake a report about SA." Like, nobody's denying women can't be monsters, too. The vast majority of these cases aren't faked, though, and believe they are as a rule is just so backwards.
You'd think if people really believed these victims weren't behaving like victims do, allegedly, they take it upon themselves to figure out a way to stop the process of making victims in the first place. Nope to that, too. People just want to speculate and pat themselves on the back for "figuring it out" in their own minds.

False accusations are the problem. Lies. Fabrications. I don't personally know any real assault victims, but I can tell you a dozen stories where a woman made up accusations and the man suffered. I'm one of them.
I've been accused MULTIPLE times. It is always in retaliation against me because I started a problem over something, never just out of the blue.
I slept with an eighteen year old when I was thirty-six. She had two babies at the time, having been pregnant at age fifteen. I thought to myself that this was going to be super easy as pie to sleep with this girl. She was eighteen with two babies from two different fathers. Nothing I just said is illegal.
When I met her, I was already sleeping with her aunt, but the aunt left town for a couple months to be with her baby's father. The niece called me every single day to smoke my weed with her. I went there every day to hang out. We ended up sleeping together. She isn't that attractive. She told me to keep our relationship a secret because she was embarrassed. She didn't want her aunt or friends to know.
One Friday, I dropped her babies off with their separate fathers. One was forty minutes away. I drove them all over the place with the expectation that we were going to be spending the night together after I dropped the kids off.
Her friend came by the house and she said they were going to the store and will be right back. I waited and I waited. She was gone a very long time for a store that is right up the street. I called her phone and there was no answer. She did NOT come back. She ditched me for her friend. I kept the baby seat that she left behind in my car.
Livid, I called her aunt and revealed to her the secret that I had been sleeping with her niece. I figured that would start a confrontation between the two women and I would have my revenge. The aunt confronted the niece about it. The niece said that it was non-consensual and that I touched her in her sleep, which is false.
The aunt confronted me afterwards and believed her niece's lies, which is nonsensical. Why would I come forward with the information before her if it wasn't consensual? The criminal isn't the one who reports their crime, the victim does. The niece never even mentioned it until I said something first. If she was a victim, she would've came forward way before I did. It's common sense.
They sent thugs to attack me and I scared them off. I refused to return the baby seat she left in my car. I threw it in a dumpster. There were no charges or police involved, only criminals who threatened violence.
I ended up making amends with the women, but we are not friends. People in their circles still think of me as a predator.
The first time I was accused was almost IDENTICAL. I had been sleeping with my friend's girlfriend behind his back and I felt guilty. I have a conscience.
The girl and I had a falling out, so I exposed the secrets and lies to her boyfriend. Same as the other story, she says to him that it wasn't consensual. She tells him that I forced myself on her. He believed her and they stayed together, having a son eventually. The two spread rumors about me for a decade. No confrontation at all.
Ten years later, she asks me out on Facebook and I date her. She has a son with the ex-boyfriend and she has gained weight, but she gives me a free car. The ex was perplexed why she would date me and give me a car. He assumed I was this monster she painted me as.
I recorded our phone conversations and got her to admit she had lied about me all those years. I still have the recording.
We dated until I walked in on her cheating on me. I obviously kept the car. She is a tramp.

This is a true testament of faith, humanity, and humility. When no one on the Earth in this current age, there are not many people like Abby and she’s definitely genuine. Her spirit is powerful and I hope that I can have patience and humility like Abby it shows you that light will always overcome darkness. I think it’s unfair that he got only 45 to 90 years. He deserved a life without parole.

This is why people need to take a pause before making judgmental crappy posts about victims. When people do that, they become part of the suspect's process. The victim is still in the horrible experience when you do that. I am speaking right to the people who make comments like that. You are guilty of being part of the evil when you do that. Do you get that?

The normalization of judging victims is an actual tactic. People who create victims, of any kind, don't want their victims believed, so they call into question any victims. By protecting other perpetrators they protect themselves. Apparently the rest of us are just dumb enough to go along with it.

I applaud the Mother who never gave up.
I applaud the Detectives who kept pushing to solve this case.
I applaud the people who believed and prayed for Abby.
I applaud Abby for not giving up and despite of the turmoil while in captivity she kept her presence of mind and kept her spirit intact to make sure she kept alive to tell her story....
I applaud Abby despite of the pain he caused you, you found in your heart to forgive.
To those who doubted her and said all those horrible things about her while in captivity.
    SHAME ON ALL OF YOU...
I just hope when this happens to you or any of your loved ones that people wont think the same way like you have bestowed this girl.

What an amazing young lady. To have the ability to forgive this man and see him as a human after enduring all that she went through. The wisdom she has to never take another sunrise or sunset for granet . Everything to her is more precious. She is truly a remarkable young lady. For someone so young to have the strength and the wisdom to try to befriend the monster and keep her wits. That is astonishing. I don't believe many adults would have had that kind of strength. She will go far in life. I hope she is talking to children in schools and sharing her story that may someday save another child. May God continue to bless her.

This story is absolutely chilling. Abby's resilience and strength through such unimaginable trauma are awe-inspiring. It's heartbreaking to see how quick people were to judge her without knowing the full story. Sometimes, the bravest thing a survivor can do is simply keep moving forward, despite the world doubting them

I was very involved in Abbies disappearance, I passed out fliers and rallied for her, and the horrendous abuse she endured was hell. Had it not been for zenya, and a close family friend who I have remained friends with- keeping her name alive on a daily basis, I don't think Abby would have the strength to endure 9 months of hell. The cruel words of people killed me. She is a survivor and we are blessed to have Abby still here with us.

I find it beyond disturbing all these people with little to no facts doubt the extreme situation this young lady endured. She showed more strength and tact than any adult. Not all people deal with trauma the same way… Just because she wasn’t hysterical or acting the way the public assumed she should. I pray you and your family can heal.

As impossible as it would have been, I wish every person that doubted her story could have been punished for it. She was tortured and to just doubt her because the way she acted, because she didn't want to instantly run and tell everyone who had done it, because she was terrified, is just disgusting. I hope nothing but the best for her, her husband, and her children.

Wow. I didn’t expect her story to be truthful going in. I thought this would be another fake kidnapping video. She did in fact stay alive because she kept her head and befriended her captor as hard as that was. I commend the mother for raising an amazing daughter. She must be proud. She never gave up on her coming home and believed her daughter’s story. This IS textbook kidnapping 101 what to do and not do in the event you’re ever taken against your will. So glad to hear she wrote a book and that inspired a movie. Congratulations go out to her for all she accomplished especially becoming a mother.

Big Thanks 🙏🏾 to the unseen team for covering this case, ima look into the movie she made based on that tragic event. I’m just glad she got away alive and not dead with her body being discarded like every other little girl.
