- Westside Carnival has become a festival in Takoradi which is celebrated on Christmas (25th or 26th December). Masquerade groups (Ankos) roam the streets of Takoradi parading their cloths and dance moves accompanied with Brassband music before finally making their way to the event grounds. in Ghana, Takoradi is the place to be during Christmas

Caribbean style carnival interesting, colorful but sexually provocative scenes which can be disturbing. This is Ghanaian way decent, colorful, Christian music most part and yet entertaining!
