Hi Jason, thanks for the video. My prevert setup would be, monitoring with a tube amp on stage (Helix pre amp to power amp in) and full amp simulation to front of house. I love to use a pre-amp model instead of a full amp model to my powertube amp. Full amps sound muddy. And i would like to have a distorted amp and a clean amp model per preset. Is it possible to use a pre amp model together with full modeling in front of house? I'am curious, what would your signal chain look like?
Hi Jason, is it possible to use f.e. the Laney IRT studio + cab (2x12) with the 4 cm and combine this with 2 studio monitors to get a W D W scenario? Or is there a simpler way to use the amps/preamps from the Helix without the 4 cm, but still be able to use the monitors. But the Laney would still remain the heart of the setup. Hi Jason. Great explanation again! In my live setup I send my signal from my powercab plus to FOH. But the FOH guys told me that my signal is too Hot. My output level is set to 0 Db and my volumeknob on the Helix at about 11 o clock. I have to cranck the volume on the powercab up to hear it on stage. Is there a workaround on this? I really like the speakermodeling on the powercab. Hope you can help me out... Thnx a lot in advance! Richard
Hey Richard, thanks! Make sure your Helix preset is getting your PowerCab LED into the yellow but not red. You can also lower the output level of the PowerCab direct output to give the FOH guy what he needs. The speaker modeling on the PC is really nice!
