It makes you wonder how a third party can take the design and improve on it. Takara-Hasbro should have caught the issues in initial design.
The KO company released their toy later. Hasbro and Takara have to meet a deadline, why also having to sacrifice certain elements to balance cost and quality.
syafiqjabar And another reason is that the original was marketed toward children, while the KO was marketed towards collectors/adults
David Turner one thing to note. This guy is not the same price or lower than the original. He cost between $45-$50, which means he's actually twice more expensive than the original.
Still gonna buy it tho. Those improvements they does there really makes me think the price still makes sense.

@@westernengine11 3rd party is when a company without a license produces original figures of a property. Like Magic Square for example. This would be 4th party, as it's just a straight knock off of the original figure in a different size.
Two things missing on the figure from being perfect is the golden chain and some graffiti on his right shoulder pad, but you can pretty much add that yourself no problem. So gona get this figure!

I can't even find the voyager version :( he'll probably be repainted into ksi boss in the studio series line. Hasbro, weijiang, UT and Alien attack are doing really well with the movie designs, it makes me very happy.
It may look better in some ways but if you listen closely you can *hear* the cheapness of the plastic

Black Beetle it was decent in my opinion. I don't like the jet head on the right arm

The best thing about these knock off transformers is the better quality and movie accuracy plus the funny names they get being knock offs images if in the movie nitro Zeus was actually named Ares Nitrogen 😂
The only time when we appreciate knockoff more than the real deal, and not only for this model though 😆

i kinda think shockwaves head is better for this figure because the actual cgi model shows a shockwave lookin head and a small body i wish they did something about that

He looks fantastic. I think he is best looking Transformer I’ve ever seen.
Mine was already in the mail when I first saw this. Your video helps showcase the big things (like the amazing paintwork and upgraded tooling) and even the little things (the very crisp grey plastic of the main body compared to Has/Tak's more dull and muddy color) that make this such a great looking figure. Part of me hopes they release a recolour in purple and black so I can buy both and use the different heads for each.
I wish the spare head was based on Cogman but I really enjoy this figure. Just a beautiful toy.
The head is what made this figure great for me, finally we can have Nitro Zeus' handsomeness without butchering a KSI Boss figure
