Ridiculous they have Andy Stanley on there - who tells people to "Unhitch" from the Old Testament. What good is inerrancy of Bible if you ignore more than half of it?..

Yeah but Dr Geisler was one of his profs at Dallas. Sad Andy has gone off the rails. Late 90s he was a great preacher. It’s a bummer

Have you read Irresistible by Andy Stanley? He is teaching what Paul wrote about (unhitching and) no longer being under the old covenant. Norman Geisler actually called Andy Stanley and encouraged him to write this book. Andy mentioned this during one of his Sunday messages.
Read all that Andy Stanley wrote and says about this subject before crucifying him. Andy stills teaches truths from the Old Testament. Just don’t mix and match some old and some new to get the answer you want. Too many people have been lead astray by some preacher burdening them with an Old Testament rule they need to live by that’s not applicable to the new covenant.

I want so much to recommend this video to the discipleship pastor at the church that I attend, but I think he won't show this video to our congregation b/c A. Stanley is in this video. I'm disappointed about that, too.

Norman Geisler was a supporter of Andy Stanley. Norman told Andy he needs to write the book Irresistible. The book in question by others about unhitching from the Old Testament and living by the new covenant as taught by Paul. I wish people would read the whole book and see what Andy was actually saying, and not taking a sentence or two out of context. Andy stills teaches from the Old Testament, but cautions not to pick some Old Testament laws and try and live by them. Paul clearly teaches us to “unhitch” from the Old Testament and live by Jesus’ New Covenant. That’s all Andy is teaching.

Great philosopher. Mediocre theologian. But I’d never discount his contribution to the topic of innerancy.
