A lot of these pop up food shops came recently and right in my back yard! Too heavy for Japanese tastes, I wonder if they’ll survive but it seems it’s a pop up shop.
@onlyinjapanGO super interesting! If it's still up when I head over, I'll check it out. We will be back in May, bringing my parents for their first time to Japan. Can't wait to share this beautiful country with them!
The British are huge for fry bread. Most times it's served with a English Irish or Scottish breakfast. I do something similar when I make a grilled cheese. I will put a bi of olive oil in a frying pan then some butter and melt it together. I will use thick slices of bread and do one side of each slice letting it soak up a lot of the oil butter mix. I let it set oiled side up a few minutes for the oil to soak in a bit deeper into the thick slices. . Then I turn up the heat put in a little ice of bread oil side down put on the cheese and let it dry a bi. When that side is crispy I put on the other side oil up press I down a bit then flip it. The reason I do this is because butter has a low burn point so I use olive oil which makes it easier to bring the heat up a bit and fry the bread. It makes it much crunchier yet the insides are soft and cheesy.
She only ate half of it. I think that’s why 90% of the customers are international. Too heavy. You think I’m gonna eat 4 of them? Leo got the plain cream. He didn’t eat much either 😂 I wonder which side is stronger, the American or Japanese 🤔
Kanae couldn’t eat it all!! Just 35% and I couldn’t either 😂 I think that’s why it’s mostly foreigners there. Tourists behind me ordered 8 of them for 2 people! 😳 that’s pretty insane, but I’d want to try them all too. Hahaha! Good business.
It’s probably one of those things that you should only have once a year to remind yourself how good it is but not good for you. Like a donair in Halifax.
Woah! Maybe not for that sandwich, we definitely have to go back to Malaysia 🇲🇾 haven’t been in maybe 7 years and that’s the longest interval! Did a meet up in KL.
@@onlyinjapanGO Malaysians will welcome you with arms wide open. lots of street food. Cheap and affordable :) hope to catch ya one day where ever you are. As always love your work and keep up the good work!
Yup, it’s heavy stuff, sweet. Definitely do not get more than one and probably a donuts better value 😂 but once is fun, but not for the waistline. Kanae couldn’t finish one!
This is so trippy. I just saw something about Age.3 on IG a bit ago and then your video popped up. Great timing!

I love how in Japan there are these nice little parks just around the corner, even in downtown Tokyo.

The obligatory, "...one for Kanae" to appease the chat lol

@@onlyinjapanGO wait a minute. Leo is... 1/2 Japanese, 1/4 white, 1/4 indian? Is this composition correct? That is Mr. Worldwide.
It was very beautiful outside enjoy your snack I really looks very good puff pastry is on of my favorite snacks

In Italy we have the fried pizza.. but it is something that you can see in Naples area only
My glucose just spiked

Thanks for sharing it. ✌️
Kinako is (usually roasted) soybean flour, not "paste."
I misspoke if I said paste. I was probably thinking of miso since I’m researching it now 😂 you’re right.
NJ especially Newark, North Bergen, Passaic has many fried sandwich offerings, the hot dog being the most common and deadliest 😂
😊🏆
Your channel is outstanding
🎏 Yes. Put up Leo's Koinobori👍
🎏👦🏻❤️
I will try to fry my sandwichs at home 🥪🙂👍🏻
9:08 noooo!!! John pls be more careful. I know it’s delicious but pls hahahaha… 🤣🤣🤣
😂 a little too far!!
Messy messy 🤣🤣🤣
Yum!😎👍
With all the nice food you have there j gotta say doesnt look the best XD ❤
Yeah, it’s a gimmick - so much better stuff but it is interesting 😂
Anything deep fried is good. In Malaysia we have deep fried spicy sardine sandwich.
Woah! Maybe not for that sandwich, we definitely have to go back to Malaysia 🇲🇾 haven’t been in maybe 7 years and that’s the longest interval! Did a meet up in KL.

deep fried bread....
donut
funnel cake
onion ring(s)
It is the glorified grill cheese sandwich substitute. I would prefer Mister Donut. Thank John for the taste test.
John. India has bread pakodas. Essentially deep fried bread with something filled in between
Those are Deep Fried Japanese Sandwishes in Tokyo, Japan.
これらは東京の揚げサンドイッチです。
Remember the line outside is for people that already ordered
2 lines, one who will order and those waiting to pick up 😉 good to mention! Thanks.
Kinda look like a Philly Cheesesteak with the Yakisoba and Egg.
Pain Maison bakery just down the road is worth checking out.
I saw many with bags from there when I was going home 😋
i think I'd also just eat Mr.Donut or something, but its fun to try if in your back yard.
Yup, it’s heavy stuff, sweet. Definitely do not get more than one and probably a donuts better value 😂 but once is fun, but not for the waistline. Kanae couldn’t finish one!
I'll have what he's having
Hahahaha! I asked people in line, what’s popular! They all said the one on TikTok 🤷🏻♂️ they’re all either sweet or savory and 100% heavy.
"not healthy"? For God's sake, there are people dreaming of this meal, can't reach it and can't afford it...
100 yen for that whipped cream one tho? so cheap
That one is probably worth it. Like a plain pizza 😂 thing is, I couldn’t finish one! It’s too heavy.
I could tell you did not enjoy it. But thanks for trying it though. 😉
Hello from India
👋 hello 😃
23 is my number😅
You know John is getting old when getting "the thing" that is the subject of the video "It's not that special"
