Part of why commercials are dying down nowadays is primarily regulations. Like, there's alot of companies essentially trying to prevent advertising from being too manipulative. Easy examples, cereal mascots, you most likely have noticed that the mascots are no longer a thing, because again, that makes kids want the cereal JUST because of the mascot. Companies essentially know that people are fucking stupid, so there are organizations dedicated to just prevent companies to take advantage of the stupid, as well as making sure the advertisement is legit. That's also why certain catchphrases are no longer a thing. Like "Ask your parents for this toy this christmas" or "Available at your stores now".
@@sapphirewriter8349 The (in)famous case of an idiot suing Red Bull because it doesn't actually give you wings. Luckily Red Bull managed to fuck the guy in the end by basically making it a state payment and everyone can get 10 dollars from buying a Red Bull, but that was still a stupid precedent.
The division is my favorite game of all time, that game really predicted how an outbreak (although not on as severe of a scale as in that game) would destroy new york because of the dense population. Crazy times
About the deadly virus conversation, one thing in our favor in a situation like that is that a virus that affects you too fast and has too high a chance to kill you probably won’t spread too far (provided it doesn’t start out at a densely populated area anyway). Covid not always showing symptoms or taking a while to start caused it to spread rapidly, but if it knocked you down day one you wouldn’t be making all your errands and spilling it over the city
When Boom said "chicken parm" I was thinking about a sandwich. I was wondering why when Eric asked if he cavemaned it boom replied, "No I refuse!" I didn't realize I was the spaghetti one lol 😂
The pikachu tail thing threw me off because I wanted to say yes kinda but I have the original vhs of pokemon from when it first aired and no, pikachu NEVER had a black tip tail.. weird how memory works.... Scary lol

Yeah and they probably don't want to be sued for false advertising because so many people are trigger happy to sue anyone for anything.

1:09:37 Pretty sure that one is just people mixing the memories of the Monopoly Man and Mr. Peanut, since they both had canes and top hats.
