Mighty Man and honest to himself.first time I heard him play was in the chosen few MC club house in Ireland been a fan ever since God has blessed him and us keep living the dream.
Reminds me of rl burnsides i left my jumper on the line. The guitar riff is similar just speeded up , i really love music like this. I like rythmic playing.
Stephen Corfield R.L. is the man...... no doubt about that fact, however most blues is done/played with three chords, E, A, B7. with that said, it's my understanding this is tuned to open G tuning DGDGBd. Such as the original 1935 version by Joe Williams. Lightnin, played his version in the standard E tuning in the 1960s. The chords are as follows, E, A, A7 and B7 with variations throughout. Seasick's version as far as rhythm, timing and structure are based on Lightnin Hopkins 60s recording. who knows? I could be entirely wrong and talking out of my rear end.
If one gets a chance listen to Lightnin Hopkins 1940s version of B.P.D.G it's close to Mance Lipscomb's version of this awesome tune. Mr. Mance, was a huge influence on Po Lightnin Hopkins, music is truly a great wonder and timeless to boot if it's written, sung, played and recorded properly. i.e. Real talent, musicians, real instruments and without autotune.
Always cool to see someone else playing an old Harmony Colorkat!;D Mine's red though, and on the larger Silhouette body. Steve does it just a bit better than me?LOL!;) He does have about 20 years on me so I might be able to catch up before I'm too arthritic to play any more?!;PRockin' On, John Lattimer
Pretty sure it's a Harmony Colorkat, since I have one.;) Mine's red though, and on the larger Silhouette body. Looks like Steve's might be on the bigger body too, but I'm not sure. Harmony made these from 68-72? The DeArmond pickups sound AMAZING!!! You might find one on Reverb.com.Rockin'On!John Lattimer
I hate to say this and I'm going to get slaughtered no he s not a fantastic guitarist. Its basic stuff . What he is ,,,is a natural player with an inbuilt sense of time and beat..BTW I love his stuff
+Phill Robinson I agree phil, technique impresses other guitarists, most people will hear a solid rhythm, and see a guy just enjoying music. I think he sings it well too, after all, he;s accompanying his voice
I think you will find I praised Steve for his great rhythm and timing. Also if you have no skill you cant play well so skill is paramount in my humble music teachers opinion.
+Phill Robinson Its the sum of the parts at the end of the day... Any number of people could have done what he does... But only he got it right.. SO right :)
+christophe manigaud In fact i'll change my mind. He is fantastic by the way he accords his guitars and all those sort of things he uses. But he is not a virtuoso with a six string guitar, on the other hand he sounds like he as two instruments in his hands. Well anyway. He Rocks.
See Croaktime blues Albert Croak And Beerbelly blues Albert Croak and He'll have To go albert Croak On youtube ...Shake my tree Albert Croak and others .

What is that guitar? It has the same headstock as one RL Burnside had.
What kinda guitar is that
oh! juste pour le plaisir des oreilles😁
Nice
I see a jaguar, I'm interested in what system the guitar?
It's actually a harmony bobkat
Anyone know what tuning his guitar is in?
Josh Mosen open g
looks like standard to me - great version, blues with balls.
He always tunes his guitar to kick some major ass.
Standard
Fantastische strait blues van sea sick Steve
Somebody please make a collberation with ZZ Top happen. Steve and billie singing together would be fucking badass
hands down best version of this song I have ever heard. Easily the best version. As with every Seasick, it's fucking perfect.
Anyone know what sort of guitar that is?
Maybe an old Harmony or Teisco?
Thanks
+David England a shit box
+David England I'd say Teisco, judging from the headstock, and the Gold Foil pickups..
+David England 1960s Harmony Bobkat. St. Vincent (Annie Clark) also plays one.
What guitar is that? i never found one like this
Pretty sure it's a Harmony Colorkat, since I have one.;) Mine's red though, and on the larger Silhouette body. Looks like Steve's might be on the bigger body too, but I'm not sure. After watching the vid again, Steve's is a proper Colorkat. They had the bridge on the body. My Colorkat-houette?;P has the bridge on the pick-guard.
1st time he played w/6 got his finger's all trippy
İyi good
Is it a Framus or Hamony?
which system the guitar?
+koks Koks Looks selfmade, based on a Fender Jaguar body.
+Heinz Duschanek (hedu) 1960s Harmony Bobkat.
+Austin Lucas Agree.
Hell yeah! ✌🏼🤪🎶
Anyone want to TAB this?
master
What guitar is he playing?
Deon de Villiers A Harmony Colorkat or Bobkat
Imagine if Steve played with Kenny or Cedric Burnside. Steve is the real deal 3 or 6 strings.
3 . . . 6 . . . none! Brilliant all the same! ;~{}
thyin to get this hobo tribute song to Steve before we ship out ...

+Phill Robinson Its the sum of the parts at the end of the day... Any number of people could have done what he does... But only he got it right.. SO right :)
+Phill Robinson You're just right, he's not a genius guitarist but he plays just like he invented guitar playing.
+christophe manigaud In fact i'll change my mind. He is fantastic by the way he accords his guitars and all those sort of things he uses. But he is not a virtuoso with a six string guitar, on the other hand he sounds like he as two instruments in his hands. Well anyway. He Rocks.
yous are very good from Nadine
😁😂
I'm thinking maybe I would like to try the drugs this guy is on. Talk about a disconnect from all other things and being tuned in. You go Steve.
L'autre guitare en tombe de bonheur…
Usin a hunk of twisted wire as a git strap? That gonna hurt after a while. :)
Thar's nuOrLeans sick, my brother! Go Hawks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm tired going fishing caching nothing, go for this instead, no?
Love that Hooker Vibe
And who said Steve can't play 6? There. Happy now?
:O !!
Steves great , puts a lot of feeling into playing, I think he's a great guitarist , Nickleback are crap why even mention them !
Kinda looks like James Hetfeild of Metallica. 🤔😄🎸
