Kozue Kawabe is a Japanese contemporary dancer. Contemporary dance is one of performing arts performed/viewed in the theater. But she performs not only in the theater but also on the field to expand the possibility of her performance as contemporary art. This video is our first trial as a contemporary art performance film. We adopted a lot of improvisational approach because improvisation is one of important concept of contemporary arts. So her dance and my camera movement and focus pulling were improvised. Furthermore, we tried to react each other simultaneously through the shooting.
