In fact, when they're young they *want* to help you, it gives a sense of belonging to the family unit. Don't bother with construction paper, teach your kids to cook. You can do sensory things like make pizza from scratch, make breakfast (kids can learn to scramble an egg and make french toast), smoothies, etc. Even if you're broke and on SNAP, you can do this together. It teaches so much: following directions, basic safety, paying attention, using senses... and the sense of accomplishment is a reward as well as eating!

In between the cooking, laundry, kids screaming, and messes I'm trying to figure out how to keep paying for stuff now. Already had to spend a butt load of money just to get groceries and essentials before the hoarders cleaned it all out. Had to drive every damn where just to find basics, which was scary, but what choice do you have. So now I have at least a months worth of necessities here, and spent money I didn't have to spare really, because people are too selfish for their own good, just to sit here and try to keep up with the exhaustion of just getting through the day..when is this boredom and rest time coming..man I'd love to sit in front of a camera dressed nice with a 🍸 cocktail..calgon take me away. A nap and a bath seems to be the best goal of the week right now.. And if you can relate to any of this, well God bless you!! Stay safe all & here's to better days ahead!
