Yes, do must buys kitchen essentials. Also can you do a cheap and expensive must haves. For example if buys this oxo laddle for a cheaper version, and buy this laddle for an expensive. Something like that. Which cheaper versions of the essentials would you buy... Thank you Benji. I always love your honesty and compassion and dedication and sharing real
I love seeing a Benji & Matt duet vlog, AND you're touring one of my favorite kitchenware stores!🥰 Absolutely want to see a Restaurant Depot tour. Please do! 😊
Just because something doesn't cost 100s of dollars or is from a "discount" store, doesn't mean that it's "crap". Most chefs/cooks in 3rd world countries use the bare minimum equipment/shitty pans to make the best tasting food. In my opinion, if you could make delicious food with bare minimum stuff, that is what shows amazing talent.
Thanks for the tutorial on buying kitchen equipment.. I’m new to cooking and I get confused what gadget is useful and will last longer . Thanks for showing what sur la table has to offer. Lately I been going to William Sonoma and crate and barrel.
All Clad is my favorite stainless. I have the copper core and will have it forever. Le Creuset is worth the money and my favorite Dutch ovens. This store as well as William Sonoma are my dream … it’s expensive but will last forever. I can’t stand cheap pots and pans. They last 2 years before you have to replace them.
I would love to see a knife sharpening tutorial. These videos have been so much fun! I live a day trip away from Seattle and now I have a whole list of places to visit thanks to these videos. ❤
After our standard pepper grinder broke a few years ago, I replaced it with the Alexander Pepper Mill (available in brass or copper finish). They are made in Greece, and should last more than a lifetime because there are no plastic nor ceramic parts most other brands have (thus, likelihood to break). It has a 100% metal mechanism. Not cheap, but I’d rather select a reliable one to avoid having to replace it every X number of years and end up spending more. They are very stylish too and can be passed on to future generations. Highly recommend! We love our Staub too! They’re actually not pots, but rather categorized as “Dutch oven”. We purchased ours many years ago in two sizes and use them quite often. They still look almost brand new even with so much use. Like you said, they’re versatile and great for even cooking, searing, stewing and braising, etc. They are very heavy duty. Not cheap as you said, but made to last more than a lifetime and could probably be passed down to future generations.
Hi I'm from Seattle, and love watching Benji's videos. What I appreciate about Benji is that he's a very practical guy who knows how to handle finances or money. I'm planning to visit Espresso Vivace next week thank you for showing us this place.
I love old school manual thongs cause i had the ones matt was talking about and it gave me 3rd degree burns cause it slipped out of my hand and splashed oil on my arm!! Ill stick with the old school appliances they were made to last thats what i would love to find in thrift stores old but gold cookware, pyrex, cornningware etc.
Omg Benji, I actually asked my sister to get me that ratchet grinder because of you lol. And it’s actually really fun to use, cranking the lever back and forth hahaha
Loved this. I would love a video talking about which knife you use for which purpose and how to sharpen them, store them, etc. I also think Matt needs to be a hair model 😂
I’d love to see a restaurant depot essentials collection. I use cast iron skillets for 90% of my cooking, even for eggs. You can get it to non-stick if you cure properly. I even have a full Le Creusent set.
Hello Benji! I’ve gotten a le cruset pot from the outlets before. Been using it stove top and also for one pot throw in the oven dishes as well. So far alls good. Any idea what’s the difference between the retail store VS outlet store LC/ Staub pots?
lol my “nice” knife is the victorinox knife. I originally bought it to carve my thanksgiving turkey and thought “I have been under a rock with not having a nice knife!” Maybe a global or local knife maker knife would open my eyes even more!
@Benji Travis A question if any teflon pan has bad wear and tear why should consumers not buy the more affordable option than a expensive one again and again ??
I have that teakwood end grain cutting board too! With this one, you're cutting into the fiber grains of the wood instead of against it, keeping the longevity of your knives 👍🏻. Please do a restaurant depot video next!
I love your range you talk about but lol there is nothing affordable in Sur la table! I love my dull knives. Otherwise id cut all my fingers off! and i love my thin stanless steel cheap pans! My jewish blood wont let me spend 100$ on one pan!😂🎉

Restaurant depot with Matt would be dope! Love the vids with Matt, so informational but seems so casual, don’t know how to explain it lol

Would it be possible to do maybe a Walmart or something alittle cheaper ..I love my kitchen tools, but not at those prices :)
ScanPan CS+ are THE best pans. I love mine so much!
Thank you Benji, such an informative video. Please do the restaurant supply store video, I need some suggestions.😊

Ok....about time, Benji! I've requested for this video for years!!! I'd love a brand video.

I buy everything at Target, also Matt is so good looking I can’t stop staring at him
I concur @moreadventure3627. Matt is a hottie--a real Papi Chulo!😍
Thank you for making this video. I would like to see the video on the gloves you were talking with Matt about. I've personally never used gloves.
I love these type videos, I truly need the education! thanks

He can say it’s the cheaper knife in the store but $61+ for a single knife is expensive to me. 😆
Please do a Restaurant Depot video!!
@Benji Travis

Sur la table means on the table

This the best video ever! This is what I am into!
Benji & Matt with the sizing jokes 😂🤭😂
You and Matt are both good looking 😍😍
I vote for a restaurant depot store tour. Enjoying your channel. New subscriber.🧡
This place is like a theme park for cooking enthusiasts
❤❤❤ more of these videos
Very sound advice. Except prices. A lot of that stuff is nowhere near affordable for people on a budget.
Matt knows what’s up when he said “kiwi knife”. Iykyk. Sharp and cheap.
I would like you to do a restaurant depot store video 🙂
Great video
me watching the entire vid and taking mental notes while heating leftovers in my overused prolly very cheap pan 😂
❤❤❤❤
This is SO SAD,,,so sorry for your bad experience.
Please make a vlog with Matt in the restaurant
❤
"dont spend too much on a pot for boiling pasta, it's literally just boiling water"
"WOW only $100??”
Love how practical and in touch Benji always seems to be regardless of how much money they have.
