Can anyone explain what was stopping them from getting out of the Levnis and keep fighting on the ground where they can't be affected by the life drain?
@@klissattack you can get Cammuravi in Chapter 6 his hero quest is REALLY HARD to miss as first of all you can walk into it 5 seconds after the Mandatory Mio Awakening quest where you also unlock the Troubadour class
The entire premise is that the game takes place in a sort of endless loop. you should've figured this out when Eunie saw a husk holding a dog tag that bore her name, and how the trauma from that past life still lives on in her newer self now.
Thing is, that's not our Ethel. She may share the same name and appearance, but she's not the friend Noah and the gang had. She didn't save them in Colony 14, she never rose her Colony to Silver rank, she never fought against Cammuravi and spared him causing her demotion to Dirt... That's one of the messages of the game, that no matter how many "chances" the Moebius world lends you, you are only truly yourself at that instant. This gets explored further with Shania for example. She wanted to have another go at life because she was so miserable, even if that meant losing herself completely
Their death makes perfect sense. There are several things going on here: First, Ethel and Camuravi each wanted a rematch against one-another because they are among the best of the best warriors in the world. Second, when Camuravi gouged out his own eye so that he couldn't be controlled, I think they both realized that they could gamble and save the Ouroboro's lives as well as prevent their colonies' destruction.
@@marimi46 I viewed him gouging his eye out as a resistance to not be mind controlled. And in doing so, he would fight against his oppressors, not the women he fought in years past I don’t even think they were thinking about ouroborous at all lmfao
@@Fanboy-ek9yf So you would rather have takahashi hand hold you in a fight with 2 characters in gears. To each their own. Story wise this strengthened the partys resolve don't you think? After all, this is what "they" wanted.

Why? The ethel that came back isn’t the same person, really. She has no memories of her past life, the old Ethel is gone and will never come back
