Goodness! So pretty. And your oil hack on the back is priceless!

You are a genius! I'm trying Odies on the back for drips. I don't know why I hadn't thought of it. Thank you!

What kind of oil do you use. You may have mentioned and I missed it.

I let it sit for awhile until it starts to get warm. That’s when it starts to thicken up.

Odies is quite expensive. Can another oil be used for the back?

Yep! I actually started using Vaseline instead and it works the same way.

@@tiffaniwilliamsfineart Vaseline? Just rub it on and rub it off? It doesn't stay greasy? Is it food safe? Thank you for responding.

I'm sorry I must have misunderstood. I was asking about using something other than Odie's to oil the entire board when completed. p.s. Have you ever tried electrical tape for the back of the board? I was wondering if it would work better then say Frog tape.

Oh gotcha. I think any oil that is food grade would work. I haven’t used electrical tape but I don’t think it would stick to wood very well. It’s made to stick to itself and not much else lol. But I’ve used masking tape with similar results.
