In this video we teach you how to install an Amazon Basics Smart Switch.
The Amazon Basics Smart Switch is a smart switch that allows you to remotely control your light switches from your phone. The Amazon Smart Switches also work with Alexa so you can control your lighting with your phone. It's important to note that the Amazon Smart Light Switch does require a Neutral Wire for installation.

How To Install Amazon Basics Smart Switch:
1. Turn off power to the existing switch at the circuit breaker.
2. Confirm the power is off to the existing switch.
3. Remove existing cover plate and existing screws holding switch in place.
4. Remove existing wires from the existing light switch.
5. Wire the new Amazon Basics Smart Lights Switch.
6. Restore the power at the circuit breaker to the New Amazon Basics Smart Switch.
7. Download the Amazon Alexa App: amzn.to/3RZBuNq
8. Set up the Amazon Smart Switch on the Amazon App.

What if i do t have the 4 wires i dont think i have a neutral wire , i only have the load ,line&ground

You got to the end and you mentioned the settings, but didn't go into that. That was what I wanted, how to set up daily routines. I think the Alexa app is confusing when you get to that function. It's not like any other smart switches or lights I have. Because it is an Amazon Basics switch instructions say to set it up with Alexa...

What if my copper wire isn't connected to the previous switch? It's bunched up like the natural wire is... I'm so scared to mess it up and start a fire.

it is okay, the old school switch doesn't require a connected copper wire. Just follow the steps in the video, you will not mess it up.

Do I have to be at the house for this to work or can I activate the lights from somewhere else when I’m not home? In other words… If I’m on vacation, can I turn on the lights when I’m out of town?

Yeah, all on the Alexa app. You can even set a schedule.
