Fishing Long Point Bay bass opener is our favourite day of the year, and we almost always go sight fishing for smallmouth bass. We got out late this year, and only had a few hours but we still had a great day on the lake! Ever consider fly fishing? With your bass pond, it would be a great spot to learn the technique. Bass on the fly is an entirely different experience and a ton of fun, regardless of the size of the fish. I almost exclusively choose the fly over my spin and bait cast setups. Happy fishing!
