Heres my opinion on why steve became evil
The armor and tools probably has a herobrine aura that whoever wears or use the armor except herobrine would be infected slowly and if full infected also to make it want the armor the armor has extremly strong enchantments cause you know when steve was gona use some weapons it liked become enchanted cause of the glow and probably thats what herobrine wanted also maybe if your fully infected you might be herobrines slave as he say at the ending another soul was taken cause it was herobrines new minion like this comment if you agree or impressed by my knowledge
alright this one should be interesting. Herobrine armor has infinite durability and high resistance. it cannot be crafted, and must be obtained from dungeons located in the end, far away from the center island. when wearing the full set, you gain night vision, strength 2, and creative flight. the sword has infinite durability and extremely high attack damage. the sword has a 5% chance to trigger its hidden effect. if another mob is within 3 block of the target, they too will take damage equal to an actual sword strike. any mobs, then, within 3 blocks of that mob will also be hit. the chain is indefinite. the hoe will automatically fertilize ground it tills, so no need for a water source block. the tools have infinite durability and instant mine. the shovel, upon right click, will teleport a selected block a random distance between 1 to 5 blocks in a random direction, instead of breaking it. the pickaxe will mine in a 7x7 area around the block two blocks above the block mined, but will only work on non-ore blocks. ores are broken without the AoE. the axe will break the wood block targeted, and any wood blocks of the same type indefinitely above the original block (cut down an entire tree with one block break... kind of like the timber mod) this ability will not trigger if shift is held.
with powerful armor and tools comes great drawback. every time you take a hit with the armor or use any of the tools, you have a 1% chance to gain "corruption". there is no way in the game to gauge your corruption, so you must be extremely careful. every player starts at 0%. at 10% corruption, you gain a 10% attack boost and resistance boost, but no drawback... yet... at 20%, you gain an additional 5% to strength and resistance, but now your character will begin to change. you will notice a darkening at the top left corner of your head. at 40%, you gain an additional 10% to your attack and resistance, making a total of 25% to both stats, but your character model will become darker. at 50%, you gain no buff, but your character will develop blackened arms, and the dark patch on your head will engulf the entire left side of your head. at 75%, you loose all attack and resistance buff from corruption, and your legs will darken. at 80%, you get a -10% debuff to attack and resistance, and you gain a lesser form of blindness. at 90% your entire character model will turn black, with a glowing purple patch on the chest and red eyes. you also gain an additional -10% debuff to attack and resistance. at 100%, all armor effects are negated, and your attack is cut by 50%. you gain slowness 1, and blindness. corruption will slowly go down 5% every minecraft day, but once you are above 80%, this will no longer apply. you can remove corruption by finding different dungeons in the end, which will have a special item that upon consumption will drop your corruption to 0%. death will also decrease corruption by 20%, if you have not exceeded 80%
