I think I have watched this video every year since it was first released. It still fills me with the same awe, immense gratitude, and sheer delight that it did a decade ago. Thank you to all who were involved with this incredible performance. ❤🥹
Every holiday I watch this video. And every time, without fail it gives me the chills and I find myself welling up with emotion. I simply can’t get enough of his voice. This entire performance leaves me feeling…🥹❤
As I've done every year since this video was first published, it is the first Christmas song I watched. It's become a tradition I plan to continue indefinitely as it is, without exception, the most beautiful rendition of this song I've heard over my 72 years! Outstanding...simply outstanding.
we were there. we were talking with friends just outside the cafe and totally taken by surprise when we heard the music. It was an absolutely sublime musical experience.
I understand this comment is 8 years old but I was also there. In the beginning shots you see the kid perk up on his chair with the white button down. That was me. 18 years old now and I'll watch this video every year. It was absolutely bewildering
This has got to be one of the best renditions of 'O Holy Night' I have ever heard. I want this guy to come live in my house and sing to me every day! #FavoriteChristmasSongEver
Wow... sniff... I wasn't even in the Christmas spirit until that... sniff. Incredible! And, the soloist has a voice I want to hear more of! Fantastic... wiping tears.
As I've done since the time this video first appeared on TH-cam, I've made it the first Christmas song that I listen to/watch each year. I don't think I've ever heard a more compelling and beautiful rendition of O Holy Night than that done here. It always has the same effect on me....brings tears of joy to my eyes. Beautiful...just beautiful.
this is the creativity that makes America great - not the guns or the imperialism or the hate: I am not American, but when I see something like this I, too, love America
To the Berklee students in Boston: My heart responds with joy and lightness. Thank you very much for your sharing your lovely gift with us this holiday season.
I was there! Me & my Sis were sitting in the cafe having lunch when they all wandered out. It was an incredibly beautiful thing to hear in person. These kids are SO talented it's crazy.
I listen to this version and this version only of O' Holy Night every time Christmas rolls around ever since my Freshmen Spanish teacher Ms. Larivee showed it to my class the day before Christmas break. It honestly breaks all the sadness in life and shows me what the true meaning of joy is all about, brings tears to my eyes every time I listen to it so thank you Berkeley school of music for this magnificent production.
I love how everything and everyone just stopped and listened. No need to "hush" anyone, people just stopped at the sound. Thank you for bringing Christ to the center.
I am with P Ellyn- I have listened to this for three years at Christmas season and cry every single time. It is moving and gorgeous. I wish I had been at the MFA for this.
Besides Jesus, I believe one of the Greatest Gifts God Gave Man, was MUSIC ! It touches the hearts, of so many. It can bring back memories of old, and it can lighten a somber gathering. Music touches everyone, no mater what. In this choral setting how can you not be touched by the intricate harmonies, and the words that were written. We are so often humbled by the majesty of such a beautiful performance.... We are BLESSED .. VERY BLESSED.. to be given a gift like this..
Found this in 2013, now playing this for my 18 month old and she smiles every time the note goes high. Like watching a little angel listen to another angel sing. Purchased this, thank you for such beautiful art.
{love love love this!} This has become my new favorite arrangement of the tune. Kudos to the Berklee crew & musicians and for the MFA to allow this to be staged in their space.
Have you ever something so clear, so pure, so perfect that the beauty of it makes you weep? The first cry of a newborn, the perfect pitch of a young man singing his heart out. These are just a couple of things that bring tears to my eyes. Thank you.
I love this arrangement... it sounds like the fluttering of angels around the manger. Mr. Joseph's singing puts Christ back in our hearts where He belongs. Thank you.
DOWNLOADED! Yes! I have forwarded it to dozens of people and return to it regularly for three years now. The production, arrangement, performance and lead voice are all beyond amazing...almost inspired. I cry EVERY SINGLE TIME I hear it. That alone amazes me. Wow! Glad I finally figured out how to download it. It will be played in my family for as long as I live....timeless.
And who are the 61 (so far) dislikers? How can you not be moved by the spirit so in evidence here. How can you not be moved by the beauty and power of these remarkable musicians. The world needs so much of this kind of joy. Never moreso than now. I hope the dislikers can find their own happiness. If not here, though, I don't know where. I will pray for you, dislikers of God's great gift of music, perfectly presented. 12/24/13
Flash Mob of Real Musicians is what this should be called! They all played perfectly, without seeking extra points of attention or trying to stand out. This singer... Unbelievable how this song lends itself to overextend and break, yet this man stays pitch perfect, instead of crying for attention, he draws people in with his timid way of singing for which this song was meant. This is a rare and outstanding performance!
Great music, great crowd, good showing from the people of Boston. Remember those who can't come home. Military and Aid workers, or whatever. Peace on Earth, Goodwill towards Men.
Overwhelmed! They showed this in church today and I had to come home and search for it. The service was about 'Awe', and this definitely made me awestruck!
I've loved this since the first time I viewed it and here it is July 4th and I'm still revisiting this video. It is so beautiful and always brings me such joy! Thank you...again.
amazing. Thank you Berklee Students for sharing the true meaning of Christmas. Sharing and giving of your wonderful talents is a precious gift and brings the true spirt of Christmas to our hearts.
I still listen to this every year too 😊

I think this is the first time in my life I've had the chills for more than 5 minutes...
This young man and the other students need to perform on the Ellen Show. They'd bring down the house. Beautiful...just beautiful.
Boston, you're my home! This is stunningly beautiful.
