Andy, you know your earlier chicken was my absolute favourite and makes me giggle every time I look at them. This is a new variation to a classic (in my view) fun project. I always enjoy watching your videos; you have such creative ideas - really like the chicken, it's a cool idea. Also appreciate that you show the problems that you encounter and how you work around them. It does make sense that the CA glue joint failed. CA glue is very strong in tension, but very weak in shear. The lathe forces were applying a large shear force to the joint, thus it came loose. That kind of thing can also work in your favor. If you CA glue something together and want to take it apart, a sharp rap in the shear direction will generally get the joint to release.
