Figured it out. If you do not already have a Sonos system you will need to use the ethernet cable to connect it to the Sonos app. Once Sonos finds the speaker, go into your settings and add your WiFi to the Sonos network. Once it's connected the app will tell you that's it ok to disconnect the speaker from the router. After you add your WiFi to the Sonos network your speaker is wireless and the Sonos network will recognize the speaker.
Hey, I’m trying to get mine to work, but it only works when it’s connected to the Ethernet cable … once u unplug it it doesn’t work. Do you know the solution?
@@liva8522 make sure you are connecting the speaker to your wifi via the Ethernet cable using the Sonos app. Once it's connected the app will let you know when you can disconnect the Ethernet cable from the speaker.
i found the speakers to be very flat sounding.. was close to returning them..until i realized i can EQ them.. they sound 10X better with higher trebel and bass. Wonder how the Sonos One's sound right out of the box compared and EQ'd
Nice review , I'm planning to get two of those and a beam for my new surround system in my living room. Do you think that the symfonisk will work great as a budget surround speakers . Almost half the price of an Sonos one ? Are you happy with your beam ?
You said you can Not play other music on it?? Just something you made yourself? I don’t understand? I bought one, didn’t open it yet. I want to stream all music on it?
@@svartling No it is not about connecting the power cord... I mean 1. which phone are you using IOS or Android? 2. which app are you installing to control the device 3. How do you connect to the Symfonisk to your home network? (via wifi or ethernet) 4. Do you create an account in the app. 5. how do you register the Symfonisk on the wifi network? I mean you are going from saying "lets set this up" to suddenly updating the software. my qualified guess is that you have taken one or several if not all the steps i mentioned above wich are vital in order to setup the player device and software upgrade it.... makes sense?

Do not waste ur time buying this speaker. It will drive you crazy to try to connect the speaker to your phone.
it’s actually really simple
Set mine up in under 2 minutes flawlessly!

Sonos One sounds at least 10 times better and doesn’t need to be EQ:ed
You missed most of the setup instructions of pairing the speaker
Ok

I am very happy with the Beam, it's incredible. But the Symfonisk has too murky sound. I prefer Sonos One.
@@svartling ok, i thought it was Overkill as back speaker to the surround setup but perhaps you are right, adds 300 euro more to the system though .
I turned off the bass boost that is on by default. It made it better but still not as good sound as sonos one.
You said you can Not play other music on it?? Just something you made yourself? I don’t understand? I bought one, didn’t open it yet. I want to stream all music on it?
No I haven’t said anything like that. Yo can play anything on it. Everything you want. Works like a normal Sonos
i just purchases the white one what app do you use for set up?
Sonos app. It’s a sonos speaker
Yes you can. Sorry for that. I have a Sonos system at home, so I completly forgot about Trådfri
That I don’t know. I don’t use trådfri
How can i turn off the speaker?
You can’t. It works as all other Sonos speakers. Always on.
