Yet another excellent trip report. I'm really enjoying your videos. That 787 was smooth as silk (although the landing wasn't!) That cabin with the ambient lighting looks like a soothing and relaxing place to be. Keep them coming bud, always looks forward to these :)

danny1966 Thanks for your comment mate! I also love the 777. In the beginning I was a bit sceptic with the 787 but it certainly passed the test, was my first time on the 787. If everything goes accoring to my plans I will have a 777 and another 787 flight report video later this year so stay tuned...

Excellent all round coverage of Qatars Dreamliner business class product. You mentioned that Qatar will be starting a service from AMS next month, just so happens I'm on the inaugural flight out from AMS also in business class, price wise...an unbelievable £1,129 for AMS-DOH-BKK return for 2 Dreamliners, 1 A380 and 1 B77W. Oh, I liked the "In the air" Homer3152 plate rotation move ;)

I know South-Brussels airport (Charleroi).
I've flown many times between Nice-Côte d'Azur and Brussels on Brussels Airlines which was Virgin Express before being BA. Excellent airline company also !

I like the part about being able to have a drink before departure but somehow I do believe that all drinks must be consumed before takeoff or unless you want to hold the glass in your hand during takeoff, it could end up in yur lap...LOL
Andrew Silva Thanks for commenting mate! There is time enough to finish the drink, but before takeoff they will come and pick up the glasses. It could end up a mess if the plane needs to make a high speed emergency brake if you have a drink in your hand.

Shots of amenity kit were too long. You need to show menu and make sure it is readable. Show more of cabin and washroom, your interaction with crew, and all snacks and pre-landing meal. Photography good.

I'm flying from London to Singapore on the 787 + the a350, one of them is a night flight and I was wondering if you get a mattress pad on your seat when sleeping ?
+Sam Reviews Hi Sam, I don't do alot of sleeping on the aircraft, and don't know if you get a mattress pad. What I do know is that QR offers pyjamas for a good night rest.

Hi Noah, Thanks for your comment 👍 Sorry for the late reaction, been really busy last few days. Hope you had a great flight. The 787 is a safe and relatively new aircraft with a good safety record, I like to fly in the 787.

xboxgamer Thanks for your comment mate! The dreamliner looks quite new from the inside and outside. Biggest optical difference with other cabins are the large windows, and the button to shade them out. But somehow they are quite dirty. The moodslights is quite a nice feature in my opinion. The only minor complain I have is that the business class window seats are at an angle to the window, which makes handfilming a bitch.
Other than that it flies like a dream :-)

Awesome video !! Im going to travel on Qatar Airways business class in June. Im a bit confuse with their on demand "a la carte" menu. Does this mean that I can order as much as I want even the main course menu whenever I want throughout the entire flight ? thanks
Thanks for your comment mate! I asked a member of QR cabin crew. She said that you can order when you want, also as much as you want. When I asked her if you can also order twice a main course she said yes, but only if they have left.

WaqAr Ali Qatar is an amazing airline that far exceeds anything the United States has. I'm simply saying that they should change their cologne offering. The cologne they use is sold in cheap grocery stores in the United States. Why is it that people like you can't ever take criticism, without being offensive to others? Very weak skin my friend.

For a long flight, It's quite worth if you're using Business class. How much is Business Class or First class Qatar Airways?
Haziq Hizamri Prices of Business/First Class can vary alot depending on the period or destination. Please see the Qatar airways website for their fares.
+Haziq Hizamri The just had a massive fare sale from many Euro destinations to Asia and the Middle East. I'll be going from Oslo to Bangkok via Doha (then on to Koh Samui) in a few weeks business class. Fare came out to about 800 Euro round trip. They offer competitive pricing for the quality product they offer. It's not cheap, but there are good "deals" to be found if you can spend more. Economy on Qatar air is also quite good overall.

What's the privacy like on the 787 compared to say the 777 or even the 380 ?
Unfortunately I can't say that as I havn't flown with QR 777/380 business class. But from the different business class configurations I've flown with the most privacy is the 1-2-1 config that Etihad/Garuda/Iberia has on their 777/A330. But the QR 787 config feels quite private. The seats are placed on an angle angling away from the aisles, which gives more privacy IMO then seats angling towards the aisle or seats that are not placed on an angle (straight forward facing). To get a better picture of what I mean you can look on seatguru.com on the QR 787 seatplan.

alessandro bulath Now that's a difficult question. Favorite in what way? I was really impressed with my Qatar Airways flight to Dubai I must say. It was just perfect, that's the way I would like to travel always: perfect on time, excellent personal service, very friendly cabin crew, good and easy to use IFE, perfect seats and utilities, good amenity and food.

Window Seat if you can enjoy that IFE, pilots just only see flight instrument & out of sky (Aviation rules doesn't allow any books or literature that beside books or literature about technic & manual of flight used in cockpit). Pilots was more bored than you on that flight.
Relief pilots have their own crew rest area with IFE onboard.
Right. Entertainment for everyone. When you flew on Scoot's 787, there're no TV ife on all seats because the airline is Low cost airline. For replacement, IFE can leased from crew using tablets or use Wi-Fi on board. Seat aren't cramped as Ryanair or Spirit.
