I bought my hellcat In April 2023. It's the same color as brads car, And I've had 0 issues with that car. Only thing I've done to that car is oil changes, gasoline and new wheels and tires. It's the most satisfying car I've ever owned, and I've owned a lot of cars.
Got a 2023 Scat Pack Challenger on Memorial Weekend for 13K under MSRP, no dealer add-ons, 12 miles on the odometer at purchase. I love it. No issues. My personal favorite is the carbon fiber and suede package. Love the adaptive cruise control especially in highway traffic that slows and speeds up a lot. Even though I can easily push the buttons or use the screen I like to talk to the car with the voice commands. "Set Temperature to 68 degrees." Car responds "Setting temperature to 68 degrees". Yes I am old school. Put a thumb drive with 16 gigs of my old CDs ripped to it. Love to tell the car "Play artist...." and the car plays what I want. Love to remote start it walking to it just to hear it start up. The power is everything you would expect from a 6.4L engine. These are great cars and I am really glad I purchased it.

I bought a 2023 Challenger Scatpack about 3 months ago. Charcoal black with the ruby red interior. No problems so far other than bug splatter is very noticeable on the paint 😅
I bought a TA widebody Scat last month under sticker at decent terms. I wanted a manual but the automatic shifts well. Last new one I seen for sale in Anchorage AK 12/2023 build. After years of buying trucks and raising kids I treated myself. Zero issues except a dead battery on the showroom floor. Not a daily driver I’m stuck in the shop van most of the time. Car is as fun as a barrel of monkeys to drive.
I have had 2 issues with my 2023 Challenger Scat Pack. 1)Bad battery that they replaced 2) Bad center bearing. They replaced the drive shaft in a day. Sounds like your issue and it was intermittent also. One day it was so noisy I didn't think I would be able to drive it to the dealer the next day. But it drove as if nothing was wrong. Love this car!
I bought a 2016 b5 blue 6 speed scat pack shaker I sold it in 2022 and the only issue I had the whole time was one bad tire pressure sensor To be fair I never drove it in the winter months but it was a great car
They finally offered me a car to drive, while they "diagnose" the backup camera which they do didn't at first. What idk. Haven't had the chance to go back because of work and it's a little bit of a trip. Sent some pics of the screen on the fritz to them a couple of days ago. They have reviews of the service department keeping cars an extremely long time ⌛. Glad that you're still enjoying the Swinger. Keep it up, OC!
I have a manual 2019 scatpack and I installed a Barton shifter after my first two weeks from brand new. It completely transformed the driving experience. Brad, you should consider installing one on your Swinger, the stock shifter is a loose, floppy piece of 💩 compared to the Barton.
I want to thank you for your videos because after listening to about the interior panels, I noticed I had the same problem. I took it to the dealer and they took care of me ASAP. They informed me that they were on back ordered, they kept me informed. Three weeks later they installed two new side panels in my F8 green swinger. Like you, love my Shaker Scatpack. And, thanks you to and your videos I was able to see the problem. I'm glad I subscribe! Hope to see meet you one day. I live in the L. A. Area.
Any plant that is closing, and pushing every part that can be used out the door, has quality shortfalls. Add in a workforce that knows they are losing their job and many don't really care what goes out the door. Theft of equipment and tools is something management also has to be aware of, very common. Never understood the desire to pay up for something you know will have issues but it didn't slow down the sales. Sounds like you got one that's not too bad. I would say your lucky. Keep up the good vids and keep enjoying the car.
Sales are actually doing very poorly right now. These things are sitting "lot rotting" in high volume all over the place! And it's only gonna get worse because of the depreciation, amount of time sitting, already way overpriced, crazy interest rates, and the dealerships themselves are in trouble. Look to see even further falling sales figures across the entire lineup. Stellantis is ruining the whole brand.
Love the 6 speed manual. I would have liked a red-eye manual but I never saw it offered that way. Being a shaker fan, that is a must have. I am a red car driver so Torred is my must have color. It looks like you bought a car with few issues. I have never liked the wheels that have been offered on these. I would have probably "day 2ed" to Cragar S/S wheels. You gas mileage is what it is. My BMW 850i with the Dinan upgrade got 12 mpg in town and 19 on the road if I keep it around the speed limit. Better than the SD - 455 trans am that got 6 mpg in town and 12 on the road. But gas was $.34 a gallon back in 74. Thanks for the update.
Drive shaft noise could be center support carrier bearing. Mine did the same thing. Made noise intermittently. Dodge said it was fine. Officially went out at 15k on my charger. Make sure they’re removing the exhaust to check the carrier bearing. Warranty covered it. Got a whole new drive shaft then upgraded the support bearing to a JBX performance support bearing. No issues since. Actually helped shift quality.

23 sinnamon stick shaker challenger widebody, with 10.5k miles now. Issues so far is interior glue on windshield panel. Seems like a common issue with weather changes. Other than that zero issues and I heavily drive it how its supposed to. Fantastic driving machine overall and happy with its durability compared to mustangs/camaros.
My 19 Charger R/T had both door panels and center console coming unglued also had paint cracks and small bubbles that developed on the corners of the hood. My door handles would occasionally squeak and would not work when it was very hot outside which is just about every day in South Florida. A friends 18 Wrangler had the same paint issues. These problems are not just 23 model year. I'm sure my 23 Scat Pack will develop these same issues over time. Unfortunately, the build quality is what it is, but I still love my 23 Charger Scat Pack and will happily drive her every day.
Love the intro, hilarious! My '23 Chrysler 300C SRT is performing like a thoroughbred, and it returned me 25.9 mpg coming back from eastern AZ mtn. property we own out there. Only complaint is the front bumper fascia won't stay fastened all the way on the left side, been in to the dealer a couple times, time for another visit as it's still under warranty another 2 years. I have a sure fire fix for it but am not touching it until warranty runs out or it gets fixed one way or another. I'm pretty sure it's pulling away from downforce from the front spoiler on the bumper skin. No complaints otherwise, always runs and hauls some serious a$$! Standard factory exhaust sounds & works great, so no need for an aftermarket upgrade. Thanks for the video!
Brad, I am so sorry about the quality issues you've had with your Challenger Scat Pack. I feel that Tavares's dumb cost cutting strategies have been causing all of these problems, not just with Chargers and Challengers, but with Jeep and Ram. It is very disappointing when thinking about the illogical things that Stellantis has been doing. I hope you don't get plagued with more maintenance problems on the Scat Pack.
Yeah I've driven all 3 camaro, challenger, and mustang....and by far the camaro has the best built quality, handling, and the best manual transmission...the 392 is a very fun car to drive though I must admit the torque is next level.
Completely agree with you on the Camaro performance. I haven't driven one with the 10 speed automatic though. I'd like to see what the car does with that trans.
@stanparker9556 Me either. Im a manual transmission guy, but I heard the 10speed is very fast shifting good for drag racing... But the manual is still king on a road course or track.
@@musclecars92 it definitely adds to the driving experience and level of control for those of us who can really drive. But it's crazy that we reached the point where the automatic is "standard" and the faster option. I've got a Ninja 636 for my kicks these days. But I'm getting older, might be time to invest in a 4 wheel toy soon.
My new 2021 1320 at 200 miles left rear axle seal leaked and my local dealer would not fix because I did not buy from them so I went to the dealer where I bought it about 125 miles away and went home and it leaked more than it did before so I fixed it myself and no problem I had called Dodge head quarters and they said nothing can be done about it they are independent dealers
I got a manual Scat Pack a couple weeks ago, that I found at an out of state dealer about 20% off MSRP and no add ons, and they shipped to me. Built 10/23. So far no problems except the front side marker lights and fog lights don’t go on. I think they’re on the same circuit/harness so I’ll need to take it in to a dealer to get fixed. Hopefully not lot rot like the guy with the Jeep in your other video had. Very clean engine compartment…no evidence of mice I could find!
How old are you? We called it "pop the clutch" just like he did. Just like Daniel larusso's mom in karate kid. That's old school. My dad was obviously older...he taught me about the pop the clutch method. Were you born in the late 80s?? Early 90s? 😂😂
Both my 505 bhp monster and 4 cylinder daily driver are manuals. I call it, 'being 'zen' with the car. I wouldn't have it any other way. Except when I'm stuck in the GW bridge on a Friday holiday rush hour night....Today's automatics may be faster, but, for me, it's the overall driving experience that's more important.
Zero problems so far with my ‘23 Scat Pack Challenger built in December of ‘22. Ordered it in October, took delivery in March. I got around $4k off sticker and interest rates and trade in values were much better back then. The incentives today are a must and people still can’t get ahead in this economy.
I have the same in TorRed, Shaker and 6spd, so far, so good. 😊 [NO jinx, NO jinx, NO jinx...] 😆 And the word is... "visceral" driving experience. 😊 And yes, you drive the c a r, the car doesn't drive you as you're just along for the ride. 😊
I’ve had an issue with my scat pack…ok, two. 1st one is the $1,100.00 set of tires. Set the good years on fire. Then, my oil needed to be changed. That’s when I found out that the car was sinking into the asphalt on the jack stands…I love those issues!!!❤
Although I love the Sublime green color of that car, I must admit I love the Green Go color better. My buddy out here in the desert has a T/A 392 Challenger in Green Go and I must say that green is sooooo nice. Still not a huge fan of the F8 green but it has grown on me. Maybe Ill wrap my Durango in green go, lol.
I bought the 2023 Superbee and one night driving to work the headlights just shut off for 5 seconds and came back on. I had it on the on position when they just shut off. I brought it in for a scan and nothing was found. I also had an issue twice so far when stopped and you go to accelerate it feels like the transmission is searching for a gear. The car has 1700 miles on it. I had 2 oil changes done already 😂. The dealership said every 6 months it must be done. You rock!, keep up the fantastic work you do.
There's an issue with the wiring being shortened all around the vehicle. There's not nearly as much play in it so they are more likely to encounter all sorts of problems while being driven. Look into it, it's pretty well documented at this point.
I have 10,000 mi on my 23 last call shakedown in destroyer Gray, the only issue that I did have was some rattling in the exhaust and the dealership found that it was a bad exhaust tip which they did replace. I averaged about 19.5 mi per gallon but I do most of my driving on the interstate, but like you I do enjoy the car I do put my foot in it and do spend some time in the triple digits almost everyday. LOL I did get paint protection added on all the front facing surfaces as well as ceramic coating and the car still looks absolutely beautiful. And I also paid sticker.
I had that problem as well with the door panels. Other than that no problems. I’ve had my scat for 7 years and that was the only issue. I love these cars. I hundred percent agree with you about the manual cars. I miss them.
The only difference between my MY22 Dodge Challenger Hellcat, and a MY23 is the final edition plaque. I'm certain the strike, and the push to build as many MY23 chargers and challengers didn't help the build quality. I have to tell you, knock on wood, I've not had a single problem with my Challenger, I LOVE IT.
Never seen a high quality Dodge or Chrysler and I’ve worked on many so I’m not surprised by any of the QC issues. I like Ram trucks but that’s about it.
my redeye has been my favorite car ever, i like simple and it’s not overly done with add ons so it’s perfect for me , if i get another stick shift car it’ll probably be an m3
I have to say that story was very funny and I had a good laugh. The tinted glass, the rims, the shaker scoop, and the hood pins, etc., just a good blend of color overall. I have to say that your car looks sexy, As for the issues, it sad to say that the Stellantis versions have been the ones to show the most issues or the most brought to attention with issues. A vehicle is your choice and what you want to do with it, and all the " I would this or I wouldn't that" have the same choice. Love the content and you being you.
Salutations Mr. Brad! Loved the joke at the beginning. It funny, to me anyway. It didn't sound as if you had any major issues and that's a good thing. Nor did sound as if you spent a lot of time in the garage either. If you enjoy the car and like driving it then it's worth what it costs. Life is too short not to enjoy what makes you happy. You are right. You can't live life by what others think or you will never be happy. For what it's worth I thought this was a very good video. Even though I may give you a rash of crap about California I still like your videos and they are my informative and entertaining. Maybe that's why I do plug your channel when I can. Thank you and keep up the good work!!
My build to order '23 Scat Shaker nb was the first '23 my dealer received. I placed my order in 11/22. So far, only 1200 miles, nothing major. It was missing a bolt in one rear wheel well liner, and the drivers side front fender/door gap is 💩. Someone somewhere scratched the windshield. DEEP! Im guessing dealer or transporter unloading it, couldn't see because of all the sandy winter filth, and used the wipers. Has anyone noticed the brackets that hold the wiper fluid line to the underside of the Shaker hood, rubbing the gasket on the Shaker? Mine looks a little rough.
I bought a manual Scat Pack last call back in March new from a dealer out west. Only issue is a creaking noise when I take off at low speeds. It is quite audible mostly from the rear right of the car. Not sure if it's a bushing or bad mount somewhere. I have yet to take it to the dealer but I'll be doing that soon.
Id say yes build quality is lacking a little. I had a shake in mine since driving it off the lot. It was covered under warranty of course. The rivets that hold skid plates and fender wells, well some of them were missing. They fixed that issue. My right skid plate, which is held up by metal rivets tac weilded onto the car, had warped and broke off. That was after driving over water on the road this past weekend. They have odered a new skid plate and all covered under warranty. I think my car was built on Friday or Monday, haha... have had my car for 2 months now.
Man… interior door panel issue, car not starting because of a loose bolt and scraping noise coming from drive shaft seems like some serious issues to me. I love my charger but if I had those issues with a brand new car, I would absolutely be pissed and push for them to get me in a different car. You’re definitely a nice guy!… maybe too nice 😅
My son also has a 23 Challenger Scat Pack and both door panels are unlamented. Still waiting on dealer to get us new ones. BTW you have a lead foot 😂. My Charger gets 17 mpg and so does our Challenger.
Battery & tires the only thing I had to replace in my ‘17 Cat. I had a camaro SS m6 & thought I’d miss my manual when I traded it for the c8 but I don’t
BRAKE DUST: I have owned two hellcats and a 392 car. Brake dust is awful on them!! I replaced the brake pads with ceramic pads and it was great! No brake dust and no brake squealing.
Just went to check on my door trim piece and i can confirm that its loose... on both sides... wow i just bought my new 23 b5 blue NB challenger scatpack plus like 4 months ago....🤦🏾
I've got the same problem with my door panel, not as severe though. When it's REALLY annoying is when I'm driving and my arm brushes against it making that sound - it's like biting your cheek, soon as you do it once, you can't stop doing it! Gotta say, though, whoever painted those stripes for the parking spots made this look like a BMW at first glance ;-)
i bought a new 2023 scat pack charger for about 6 months then traded in for a nov 2022 hellcat charger and havent had issues with either of them. I was worried about the Stellantis horror stories but i seem to have gotten lucky(at least so far)
they dont actually check, they just scan it and take it for a short drive, you have to find the issue yourself and then theyll get up off their ass, i sold my built to order manual because it was always a fight to get things fixed, sometimes even doing it myself because OC dodge always gave mt car back with a little more damage than it came in with, day one i lost a lugnut and they just gave me a used RAM nut and called it a day, GM failed me, so did dodge.
I had issues with trying to open my drivers side door and found out that there is a rubber plug inside the door side of the door jamb that is removeable. Once you remove it, you see a hex head bolt that you can loosen with an Allen wrench and then push it either more forward or backward. After adjusting it and retightening it, the door opens easily when I lift up on the door handle. They should have fixed this at the dealer, however, they did not know how to fix it. Unbelievable! I have learned to fix everything myself since it takes three or four times for the dealership to figure out how to fix anything. No training, just let the techs watch youtube videos.
“Chrysler” and “fuel economy” have not exactly been tied at the hip. My dad had a 318 2 barrel Ramcharger that eked out 11 mpg, same mileage as our 440 station wagon. My friend bought a 318 2 barrel pickup 20 years ago, drove it 3 hours home on $90 of gas, he never drove it again. Stuck a for sale sign on it, bought a Chevy 3/4 ton with a TBI 350 and knocked down consistent 19 mpg hwy. My wife had a 2001 360 Durango, and proved that 11 mpg was still the gold standard. Regardless of cubes, they’re drinky. And none of those were driven hard. 13 mpg is an improvement.
You mention not having any issues with the outside. I recall you showed us issues with the locking mechanism not working consistently. Is that considered inside or outside? 🤔
Luv that car, have the sister F8 Green, & no issues yet @ 1116 miles, other than my extension cord on the ceiling let go, during the cyber issue, had to replace the right-side Swing decal, major, major issues, needed vin photo's & a local dealership to verify, other than that, sled is going back into the shop this Tuesday, & a specialist decal tech is being bought in, to replace the (Swinger Decal) on the passenger side down slope, & again not mentioning names, the 1st clear coat, no, no, orange peel affect!!! So, the very big shop has a 2nd chance to correct before my un-wanted, opinion peeks out!!! Hence, don't get no damage to the decals on the special edition's, nightmare to get a replacement @ $600 + UhGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG!!!
I bought my 2023 charger (special order) after few month the passenger airbag outline started showing on the passenger dash, and the car always in the garage never outside.
I just got a 2023 charger scat pack widebody for 40,000 off of MSRP, no markups, and the car actually heals and repairs itself whenever it gets any damage or electrical issues. Just thought I’d add my own lies like the other people here. Oh yes and my charger even came with the perfect spouse in the back seat for free!!!
Yeah, the door panel issue is likely from the special color stitching thread. Likely why its taking them so long. Not a defense of them but I heard similar stories with the red stitching, especially the 2023s that dont have the red leather insert, just the red stitching. I still would like to swap out my dash and doors with the red stuf on my stick, but thats a big job, and it being manual means, of course the dashes are different lol

Your car keeps up with mopar tradition, poor build quality but great looks.. today and in the 1970’s ..
The old school terminology for how you started Your car is called "Bump Starting Your Car" At least that's what we used to call it when I was a kid.
How old are you? We called it "pop the clutch" just like he did. Just like Daniel larusso's mom in karate kid. That's old school. My dad was obviously older...he taught me about the pop the clutch method. Were you born in the late 80s?? Early 90s? 😂😂
What are you bumping into, to start the car? Push start maybe.
Swap to Akebono pads, they usually match or beat oem performance with barely any brake dust.
Brad Brad you are crazy lol lol lol but you told the truth 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Just picked up a Shakedown last call. Love it!!! Loved the 10g below sticker too
Zero problems so far with my ‘23 Scat Pack Challenger built in December of ‘22. Ordered it in October, took delivery in March. I got around $4k off sticker and interest rates and trade in values were much better back then. The incentives today are a must and people still can’t get ahead in this economy.
I have the same in TorRed, Shaker and 6spd, so far, so good. 😊 [NO jinx, NO jinx, NO jinx...] 😆
And the word is...
Great video...do you still have the demon 170?
I have 2 23 LCs. A red eye charger and HC Challenger. Ive had no issues. Great cars, both of them. NOTHNG out there can replace these cars.
Yup, that door panel would bother me
I had that problem as well with the door panels. Other than that no problems. I’ve had my scat for 7 years and that was the only issue. I love these cars. I hundred percent agree with you about the manual cars. I miss them.
Awesome Challenger Brother 💪💯 Destroyer grey 23 Scatpack here so far everything is going smooth like butter
I have a 2016 scat pack very little problems with it. Great car
my redeye has been my favorite car ever, i like simple and it’s not overly done with add ons so it’s perfect for me , if i get another stick shift car it’ll probably be an m3
i have had my last call widebody super bee since last fall ...No problems at all...love it... all car brands have..some issues
I agree about the manual. I prefer it over an automatic in a sports/muscle car. It's just something about having control over the car.
So many issues with the radios they are back ordered for 3 - 4 weeks.
My Charger gets 17 mpg and so does our Challenger.
first years were the best. I had a 15 scat and still have my 16 scat and they are flawless
Battery & tires the only thing I had to replace in my ‘17 Cat. I had a camaro SS m6 & thought I’d miss my manual when I traded it for the c8 but I don’t
I have faced same issue with driveshaft in my 2014 srt8 stick shift, I was speeding 240 km . It was from the driveshaft sport bearing cover comes out.
BRAKE DUST: I have owned two hellcats and a 392 car. Brake dust is awful on them!! I replaced the brake pads with ceramic pads and it was great! No brake dust and no brake squealing.
I appreciate this video. Thank you.
Just went to check on my door trim piece and i can confirm that its loose... on both sides... wow i just bought my new 23 b5 blue NB challenger scatpack plus like 4 months ago....🤦🏾
Loved the Saul Goodman little into their lol
OC, so you think it's a batch issue? Certain batches ( build dates ) My Challenger WBS 6spd has a build date of 10/23.
Just a thought........🤔
The real punchline of that joke is "daddy, i want to be a princess" and his dad wept.😢
they dont actually check, they just scan it and take it for a short drive, you have to find the issue yourself and then theyll get up off their ass, i sold my built to order manual because it was always a fight to get things fixed, sometimes even doing it myself because OC dodge always gave mt car back with a little more damage than it came in with, day one i lost a lugnut and they just gave me a used RAM nut and called it a day, GM failed me, so did dodge.
Save the Manuals; No substitution for tactile engagement! That a stack of matching cones?
“Chrysler” and “fuel economy” have not exactly been tied at the hip. My dad had a 318 2 barrel Ramcharger that eked out 11 mpg, same mileage as our 440 station wagon. My friend bought a 318 2 barrel pickup 20 years ago, drove it 3 hours home on $90 of gas, he never drove it again. Stuck a for sale sign on it, bought a Chevy 3/4 ton with a TBI 350 and knocked down consistent 19 mpg hwy. My wife had a 2001 360 Durango, and proved
that 11 mpg was still the gold standard. Regardless of cubes, they’re drinky. And none of those were driven hard. 13 mpg is an improvement.
I have a charger Gt 2023 3 months old cero problems. Installed a borla attack cat back and now have a low v8 sound.
So far my 2023 Hellcat has been good but it was an early 2023. Bought in February of 2023
Automatic slap stick is the same experience without the 3rd pedal!
That’s GREAT!!
You mention not having any issues with the outside. I recall you showed us issues with the locking mechanism not working consistently. Is that considered inside or outside? 🤔
I bought a 2023 R/T Challenger. 1 month in my drivers fog light fell out. Dealer says not covered under warranty. Use and abuse he said.
Sounds like Pirelli summer tires. 14,000 miles on rear tires, and they were racing slicks...
The punchline was worth the wait! 🤣
Great 👍 👌 👍 video OC
Power stop z26 will 100% stop your brake dust issues
$1,000 for Hood pins damn brother your living good
They did it for free for me for plugging their shop. But the price at that dealer was just under 1k.
I had the driver door pulled issue on a 2022 Challenger R/T !
If you don’t mind me asking, What dealership did the hood pins ?
HAHA. Mickey Mouse outfit. I loved it
Yeah, the door panel issue is likely from the special color stitching thread.
🤣🤣🤣 you had me🤦🏻♂️🙌
Gorgeous car. However for 70k i would drive that car to the dealer and tell them to fix the fitment on the front bumper
Dodge quality
Did the door handle (auto unlock) issue ever resolve itself?
1k for hood pins install is borderline robbery respectfully lol
