I was 12 years old living in Gander when 9/11 happened, my father was vice principle of Gander Collegiate at the time and both of my parents volunteered a lot of their time tending to stranded passengers. 4 years ago I went to New York with my parents and we went to Come From Away, I must say they did an amazing job with the play.
On your next trip, be sure to go further up the Great Northern Peninsula. The ride along the coast capped off at the end by a visit to the Viking ruins at Lanse Au Meadows is well worth the ride.
Whenever I hike Mt. LeConte in Tennessee the weather is always a wildcard so I always say “I’ll take whatever lessons the mountain wants to teach me” Lol. I try to think the same when riding. You seem to feel the same way!
Thanks for visiting our Province! You had a great bike for the not so great roads. Shame that you had so much time on the featureless TCH. I understand the need to get from point A to point B across the island, but you were so near to so many great coastal features that were bypassed. Maybe next time 😀
@@NoahTT HA HA…I appreciate that you are a great distance away and that NL was maybe a one time thing, BUT if you ever do venture back this way I am always out on my GS and pleased to show visitors some hidden gems. Safe riding and live the adventure…
Next time I look forward to exploring more of the northwestern shore of Newfoundland and traveling a bit more slowly. I'll have to checkout your Newfoundland videos for some ideas!
@@NoahTT It's hard for most people to comprehend how bif Newfoundland actually is. I'm just in the process of editing leading a group around Newfoundland for 13 days and even that was just touching on the highlights. It's always good to see the area from someone else's eyes. I really have to do the Western Brook Pond Tour again. It's been over 10 years.
“A picture painted by the Universe…” perfectly put!!!
👍
Excellent video and a great adventure.
Many thanks!

Thanks for sharing your story! A pretty remarkable piece of history you were part of. Something quite hopeful during a very tough time.

Thanks for the tip. Wish I had more time to spare when there. Next time!

Hope you enjoyed your visit to our lovely home!
Absolutely enjoyed the adventure.
You spent a fair bit of time in my backyard. It is too bad you were on the TransCanada so much.
