Do you think Game Freak shipped off BDSP to another company and specifically told them to not add too much new content on it in order to make those games pale in comparison to Legends Arceus? Then they could legitimately convince the fans and Nintendo that remakes don't do as well. They could also experiment more with the different battle style and gameplay of the legends games since fans continue to complain that the regular games are stale and don't change enough. Is this a conspiracy just to appease the fans?
I'm fine with more standard remakes being a thing of the past, but I think if that's the case, they really should do better about preserving old Pokémon games for new audiences to play rather than saving them for hypothetical remakes. Like, we're never gonna get a Hoenn game on the Switch, and if a Legends Jirachi or whatever comes out for the next console, that's gonna be wildly different from the Gen 3 that Pokémon fans know. So by that point, there logically shouldn't be anything stopping them from just making those old games available for people to play. Put those dudes on the Nintendo Online service for the next console. Hell, it'd arguably be invaluable for promotion if they announce a Legends game and then release the original game either on the online service or as ports in anticipation of that. Obviously it's can be difficult depending on hardware, and how they work around a lot of the games' touch screen functionality, but I think it'd be more than worth doing.
Completely agree, as Hoenn being my favorite I would love to see it reimagined in Legends style but regular remakes are not necessary because that’s what ORAS was for.
As a kid I don't really remember there being any hate towards Gen 5 (apart from some die-hard fans, which I doubt had any impact on GameFreak), if I remember right W2 and B2 were a thing because GameFreak wanted to continue the story from the previous entry, and by doing that they ended up having to split the development teams into 2 so X and Y could be released on time. And THEN people started hating, but on the X&Y games cuz the 3D models looked unpolished af (which to this day, people still criticize it for that). There were people who nitpicked gen 5 but most people that played it love those games I think
I mean it is possible. GF never did the Sinnoh remakes so that could indicate we may be moving away from remakes. Much like how we went from third version to DLC. I liked BDSP and personally prefer faithful remakes. I just hope Legends isn't a replacement for remakes because Legends style game wasn't good in my opinion. Whether we see remakes again in the future is yet to be determined. We will have to wait and see.
Very possible, but the weird thing to me is the revisit to Kalos before Unova. And if we do get a Unova remake in the future I think it’ll be the last remake.
Not even watching the video yet, but I’ll put this out here. The aspect of a remake of an old video game will always be important. Currently there is no way for a new Pokémon player to play through Johto, or Unova without spending lots and lots of money on an old game/s and even more money on an old handheld console. The same could be said about Alola, Kalos, and Hoenn too. Remaking the old games is just as important as making new ones to the franchise. Now I don’t think that a “faithful remake” is a good idea either. That’s just a lazy cash grab. ORAS did the remake system the best I believe. Took an old game, and added new concepts too it, on the newest generation console. It did have everything that old players wanted, but it had enough to make up for it.

is this true, King Cradi?
I more than sure thay didn't remake because they will introduce new console soon and the remake will be in a new one

Emulation is free 🏴☠️
@@-jay-2993 you’re right, forgive me, I meant there’s no legal way to play these games.
I think we should get remakes for the games until they hit the switch then cut the remakes.
Or they jus give us the old games on switch. Id be happy with either
I just want to play in johto & unova again it doesn't need to be a remake again. Pokemon need to learn how to tell new stories in older regions.
I want Jotho and unova
When you put Legends Arceus next to FunkoPop World Simulator it becomes abundantly clear which option is better for revisitis to older gens
