Whats all this latest copyright binge by TH-cam on all the Devo video's about? For your information this video AND it's soundtrack got the nod of approval from GVC of Devo Inc himself. Too much Paranoia now seems such an apt soundtrack.
This video shows the manufacture of THE Official DEVO Energy Domes worn and sold by the band themselves.
If you don't want to bother to trim the bottoms, they could always be used as traffic cones.
I haven't been this excited about plastic since the first time I saw Pam Anderson's chest!
For some reason I always assumed the domes were thicker.
These are thicker than the old clubdevo domes and the ones Devo used to wear on stage.

Too much Paranoia
Rig up a mini size machinists style angle plate with horizontal gouge tool to score the bottom edge of the hat as it still sits in the clamped frame and semi warm with vac off once it reaches complete form. You won't then have to go over and mess with cutting them over and over on a band saw or trying to position for hand cutting. Use the warmth of the plastic and flat surface to score it and with a few passes it will cut it clean and accurate.

Cool! I always wanted on of these to go mogul skiing in. There was a guy back early 80's that was a total bad ass in the mogul's in Michigan that wore one of these. I'm thinking of paying homage to him as he was my mentor in bump skiing. Just need to Jeld -Weld a hard hat hardware inside to wear it for a proper fit.

Well...even so...this was inspiring.
I remember seeing original Energy Domes for sale in San Francisco in 1980. They were in a store window. I didn't buy one.
what no more decent energy domes? wish i got one now, mess up!, are you gonna sell again on ebay, it was very brief indeed.
